Further, the overall average package offered was INR 30.37 LPA, during BITS Pilani placements 2023.

Q:   Does BITS Pilani offer BTech?

A:

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani offers a four-year full-time BE programme across seven specialisations at the undergraduate level. BITS Pilani BE course covers specialisations such as Chemical, Computer Science, Civil, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation and Electronics and Communication. BITS Pilani BTech admission is completely entrance-based.

Q:   Can I get admission to BTech CSE at BITS Pilani with a 78k OBC rank in JEE Mains?

A:
Hello Priyanshu, unlike the government institutes like NIT IIT or equivalent such colleges BITS Pilani does not offer any reservation based on any category like SC or St or OBC. Of course, they do offer seeds without any entrance examination for those students who appear in the list of merit candidates of the 12th examination conducted by different boards across India. To help you I am attaching a link which will take you to the college predictor for JEE Mains examination design by Shiksha taking into account the results of the previous many years. It will be quite useful to you in selecting the college where you can take admission. https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/jee-main-college-predictor Best wishes to you.

Satisfied with this college zero attendance policy and good placements and good infrastructure.
Placements: About 96% were placed, and the remaining ones went for higher studies. When I joined in October 2022, the highest CTC offered was 90 LPA for AEEE student. It was not in the core but in the IT sector. The least is 6 LPA, and the average is 25 LPA for CSE and Electrical branches, whereas in Mech, Chemical, and Civil, it was around 16-18, that too in the recession period. Top recruiting companies are IBM, Google, Deloitte, McAfee, Apple, etc. Every student does two guaranteed internships named practice schools. There is a thing called summer intern where only 1 out of 5 students get it, mostly related to the IT and Finance sector.
Infrastructure: Good, and it is an old college built in 1964, and it is still going on. The food is also good. We have a gym, playground, student activity center, Wi-Fi for 10 days. Labs are open from 8 am to 12 am. The library here is one of the biggest libraries in India, open from 8 am to 10 pm. Classrooms are air-conditioned. Single rooms are given from the 3rd year. There is an institute canteen and other night canteens on the campus. There is a medical center and a sarvajanik hospital.
Faculty: Faculty are highly qualified, mostly from IITs and experienced. Teaching is good, and the curriculum is relevant. There is one mid-semester test and comprehensive test for every semester. Classes, tutorials, and labs are regular. We also have surprise tests here. There is no thing such as pass percentage, but relatively grading is allotted.

Our college provides great infrastructure and placements.
Placements: Around 95-98% of students got placed in our course. The lowest salary package offered ranges from 12 LPA - 13 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 36 LPA. The minimum salary package offered was around 16 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TI, Micron, and NXP. Almost 10-20% of students got summer internships in companies like TI, Qualcomm, and Nvidia. The top roles offered are embedded systems engineer and analog system engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is enabled in our college. It also provides a huge library that consists of many books. Classrooms are air-conditioners, and projectors are also available. There are single and shared rooms in our hostels. Double occupancy rooms are appointed for first and second-year students. In every hostel room, there is a chair, a table, and an almirah. The mess offers many cuisines. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items are available in the mess.
Faculty: Professors are strict and have very good subject knowledge. The quality of instruction is good. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. The research opportunities are good. Exams are fairly challenging and depending on the course the grading can be harsh. Due to relative marking, all students pass easily.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. This course is excellent for students. Our college should improve more hands-on practice in the laboratory, and provide more practical knowledge.

Our college provides knowledgeable faculty members and great campus life.
Placements: Around 96% of our seniors got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 38 LPA and the lowest salary package is 13 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Ti, NXP, Qualcomm, Nvidia, and AMD. Students got summer internships this year in electronic companies. Every student gets an internship in PS-2 next semester. Ti, Qualcomm, and Nvidia visited our college to offer internships. Top roles offered are embedded systems engineer and analog systems engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout campus. Library is massive and has unending reference books and other genres. Classrooms are air-conditioned. Hostels have both single and double-occupancy rooms. First and second-year students get double sharing rooms. Each room consists of a table, a chair, and an almirah. Mess is available at walking distance from the hostel and has a varying catalog of food. Non-vegetarian food and paneer are served at the live counter.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are strict, helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is designed as per the industry requirements and focuses sharply on what students need for industry and the research part is however emphasised. Semester exams are difficult and the evaluation of papers is tough. The marking is relative, so many students pass exams.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in studying electronics and this college provides good education in this course. Our college should provide more hands-on and practical knowledge. Oasis and Apogee fests are organised in our college. Campus crowd is more and students are helpful to each other.

Review of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
Placements: Placements were great in this college. Google, Amazon, and Microsoft were the top recruiting companies that visited our college to hire students. Our college provided 2 internships. The first internship was non-paid summer and the second one was paid. Internships were also conducted for 6 months. The stipend offered varies from Rs.7,000 to Rs.1,20,000 per month.
Faculty: The exam covers the entire syllabus for the 11th and 12th classes and this matches the curriculum across all engineering entrance exams. BITSAT is good as compared to the majority of semester exams which require very high speed with great accuracy to clear it. It contains 150 questions in 180 minutes with 10 bonus questions, if you answer all the 150 questions. All preparation was similar to JEE advance and it leaves the student with a hectic day.
Other: It is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India, established in 1964, and has gained an immense reputation. It is among the top 5 colleges in India and it has made a mark in QS rankings. Our campus was good. One of the most unique features was the zero attendance policy and students discover their passion. The location was away from the city but the fee structure was high. The gender ratio was like other engineering colleges. BITS has the most unique focus on its culture and overall development. One can find all sorts of clubs from dance clubs to technical teams like team Anant. The 2nd biggest fest in India, Oasis was handled completely by students from end to end. It covered all sports that were played in India.

It has the best return on investment policy.
Placements: There is a 100% placement record with tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, and Samsung as recruiters. The highest salary package is around 1 CPA and the minimum is around 8 LPA. You can be absolutely sure of getting good placements and exploring other aspects like entrepreneurship.
Infrastructure: We have one of the best infrastructures, especially for electrical branches. We have the best equipment, worth many crores. Hostels are decent for first years. The ventilation is really helpful to escape the summer heat, but the hostels for seniors are newly built and have better infrastructure. Sports facilities are good. Mess food is also above average.
Faculty: Around 80% of the teachers are Ph.D. holders from reputed colleges, and some also have work experience in Silicon Valley. One of our professors is from MIT (not Manipal). The course curriculum is good. Semester exams are tough, and since everyone around you is studious, the average scores are high.
