An Overview: Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, KK Birla Goa campus
Placements: In my course, about 92% of students were placed, even though there was a recession in the market. The average package for my course is around 25LPA. Top recruiting companies were Oracle, Google, Amazon,... Most of the students got internship opportunities from all ranges of companies, ranging from Google to TCS. It all depends on CGPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in my department are top-class . The quality of food is mostly good, but then if you choose a mess, it is comparatively better than a d mess. So, as the college gives us the option to choose the one we want, we can choose the best mess.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and they are well qualified and knowledgeable; their teaching quality was pretty good. The first-year curriculum is a bit boring and seems irrelevant because they make you study most of the subjects starting from CS to Biology. I would prefer it being more specific for each course starting from the first year. Semester exams are pretty difficult.

Amazing infrastructure, but placements are not that good because of the recession.
Placements: Around 60% of students were placed. The highest package was 60 LPA. The average can be around 10 LPA. Amazon was a top recruiting company. 80–90% of students get internships, and many of them get jobs at top companies like Google, Amazon, etc. Full stack developer, data scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing. The first-year hostels are very good and have good Wi-Fi. The library is also there, which is open until 2 a.m. Mess food is better than expected—not bad at all. There is a student activity center where all sports are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and have very in-depth knowledge of the subjects they are teaching. It is very relevant. Semester exams are difficult, and the competition is also very high. For the first year, everyone gets to study the same subjects, but from the next year on, subjects change.
Other: I had an interest in computer science, so I joined it. Campus life is amazing, and festivals are also very good.

Our institute is a good institute.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA and the lowest salary package was 8 LPA. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and IBM were recruiting companies. Around 60% of students got internships. Top roles offered were project manager and HR.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility was good with high speed. The infrastructure of classrooms was great with a peaceful environment. There were appropriate labs and a very vast library with a huge number of books. The hostel had home friendly environment. The food served was very delicious and healthy.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very good and the teaching was iconic and informative. The course curriculum was very relevant and was very unrestricted to study. There were 2 semesters in a year. The pass percentage was good.
Other: I chose this course because I am fully passionate and fond of computers since childhood and it is interesting to learn.

Great college with excellent crowd .
Placements: The placements in bits computer Science are definitely one of the best in the country. Our 2022 passing batch had 100 percent placement in case. With average 26 LPA domestic package. Almost all the technical giants have visited our college for placements and internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of bits is great, library is a great and comfortable place to read. There is a computer centre accessible to all the students for lab related stuff. Most of the hostels are decent and the newly built ones are extremely good. Mess food is decent, the weather of Goa in summer is a bit harsh though.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and are always ready to help. The teaching quality was great. Practice school system in bits gives you a great level of industry exposure ( PS1 takes place after 2 and year and PS2 in your 4th year) The semester exams are of good level of difficulty you need to work hard to score good. The pass percentage is a above 95 In most of the courses .

It has a great campus culture, good placements, great infrastructure, and Goa life.
Placements: About 100% of students get placed from the CSE branch. The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA, 24 LPA is the average salary package, and 10 LPA is the lowest salary package offered. This is the usual trend for placements for CS. Top recruiters are Amazon (mass recruiter), DE Shaw, Google, Flipkart, Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, JP Morgan, Swiggy, etc. About 125 students got internships out of 256 students in the CSE branch. SDE is the most frequent role than data science roles.
Infrastructure: In our college, Wi-Fi is decently fast with about 8 Gb per day data limit. Labs are modern with working equipment. The new classrooms are well furnished and hi-tech. The library is decent and huge with a capacity of around 600 people. First-year students get a double sharing room while the rest get a single room. The rooms are vast enough and clean. The food is of average quality but a lot better than what you would get in other hostels. We have a sports facility center, 4 badminton courts, 2 basketball courts, 1 UFC ground, 1 big football/ cricket ground, carom room, 4 TT tables, 2 pool tables, and 1 gym.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are extremely knowledgeable and well qualified from recognised institutions. The quality of teaching can be questioned but they are always available if you need any kind of assistance. The curriculum is very diverse. Students have the options to choose their courses apart from the compulsory ones. You can shape your curriculum according to the needs of your field. It does make students industry-ready. The average CGPA is less than the average at other colleges but it does not hamper your placements or higher studies. But the relative CGPA does matter. Exams are quite tough. The pass percentage for a semester would be around 95-98%.
Other: IT is a booming sector and choosing CSE was a viable option. We get the privileges for IT roles during placements. Subjects are less difficult than other courses. The courses are well structured and do not need any modifications. We have 3 major fests Waves (cultural), Quark (technical), and Spree (sports). These are very happening events and have some of the craziest nights. Campus culture is very good and there is no ragging. Seniors are extremely helpful and kind. If you are one of the top performers in your course, you get 100% fees waived. There are also scholarships offered for people having less income. The scholarships depend on your CGPA. Sports/extracurricular activities are promoted heavily and people indeed participate in them.
