Q:   Can I get B.Tech at Central Agricultural University Manipur with 75 percentile in TJEE?

    A:

Whether you can secure a B.Tech seat at Central Agricultural University Manipur (CAU Manipur) with a 75 percentile score in TJEE (Technical Universities' Joint Entrance Examination) depends on several factors:

    Competition and programme cutoff:

    • Competition: B.Tech programs at CAU Manipur,  especially popular specializations like Agricultural Engineering or Food Technology,  can attract high competition from students across India.
    • Cutoff variations: Cutoff scores for each B.Tech programme can vary significantly year-to-year depending on the number of applicants,  difficulty level of the entrance exam,  and available seats.
    • Reservation categories: Seats are reserved for different categories (SC,  ST,  OBC,  PwD) as per government regulations,  impacting the cutoff scores for the general category.

TJEE vs. CAU Manipur admission process:

    • While TJEE is a recognised entrance exam for B.Tech admissions in many universities,  CAU Manipur might have its own selection process for B.Tech programs.
    • They might consider a combination of factors like TJEE scores,  Class 12th Board exam marks,  personal interviews,  and weightage allocated to each component.

Q:   How are B.Tech placements at Central Agricultural University Manipur?

    A:

While the overall picture isn't entirely clear-cut, here's what I can tell you about placements for B.Tech graduates at Central Agricultural University Manipur (CAU Manipur):

    Positive Indications:

    • Decent Placement Rate: Based on student testimonials and online reviews,  CAU Manipur claims to achieve a placement rate of around 60-70% for its B.Tech graduates. This indicates that a majority of students land jobs within a reasonable timeframe after completing their studies.
    • Industry Collaborations: The university has collaborations with various agricultural research institutions,  government agencies,  and private companies. These collaborations potentially offer internship and placement opportunities for B.Tech graduates.
    • Government Job Focus: Several graduates secure positions in government agencies like Krishi Vigyan Kendras,  State Agricultural Universities,  and Technical Institutes of Higher Education. This can be appealing for those seeking stability and public service opportunities.

    Challenges and Considerations:

    • Limited Information: Official placement data and detailed statistics are not readily available on the university website or other public sources. This makes it difficult to assess the accuracy of claimed placement rates and the exact sectors B.Tech graduates get employed in.
    • Limited Exposure: Compared to universities in metropolitan cities,  CAU Manipur's location in Imphal might mean exposure to a smaller network of potential employers for some B.Tech disciplines.
    • Specialization Variations: Placement success can vary significantly depending on the chosen B.Tech specialization. Popular specializations like Food Technology or Agricultural Engineering might have better placement prospects compared to less prevalent ones.

    Overall:

Based on the available information, B.Tech placements at CAU Manipur appear to be decent, with several graduates finding job opportunities in their chosen fields. However, limited data and potential differences in placement success across specializations necessitate further research and cautious interpretation.

Infrastructure was great, pleasant weather, teacher student connection was awesome.
Placements: There was no placement for B.Tech (FT) programme. We were the 2nd batch with a class strength of 7. Thoughts have been used on how to draw in companies for our graduates. Though no placement yet, our graduates have performed very well in entrance exams such as GATE JRF, CAT etc. Winning a ticket to top institutes in India. Let's hope that in time, our graduates are 100% placed.
Infrastructure: CAEPHT has a pilot plant for processing of various agricultural produce such as ginger, turmeric, tomatoes, etc. Students are exposed to these equipment's and gave them industry like experience. Classrooms were spacious with projectors but not all of them. Hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi, Gym, Table tennis, Badminton, etc. Hostel rooms were double and triple. Canteen didn't offer much varied menu. Labs were great, Library has a wide range of books with very helpful staffs. Medical department has a doctor and three nurses with emergency van too. To sum up, infrastructure was good.
Faculty: Faculty members are IIT and top institute alumni but like a typical Indian college, it lacks creativity. Though course structure was a bit different from offered by other institute. I think it was really helpful. Engineering aspects have not been sidelined and instead incorporated in the curriculum. Sikkim has varied processing plant ranging from noodles, milk to medicine. Students often have industrial visit on these plants. Students got a chance to visit different institutes across the country through northeast and all India tour. Also the final year students can have industrial training in the last semester. Our batch instead carry out our dissertation in CFTRI, Mysuru.
Other: Sikkim often host different events and fest including flower exhibition, Agri Fair, etc. Our college often participate in these events with their own display booth offering different tools and technology invented in our college. College week is held every year and students compete in sports and cultural events. Winners represent our college in inter college athletic meet of CAU college held across these campuses. Scholarship was awarded to class toppers by college. Weather was very pleasant all year long. Ranipool a small business hub near the campus provide a suitable market for educational and other needs. Gangtok, a capital of Sikkim is 20 km from campus. Is a clean city with a great view of third the highest peak in the world Kanchenjunga. People of Sikkim are very friendly, you can make great local friends there.

    Central agricultural University tour .
Placements: Our college doesn't provide placement for students. Some of the colleges that are under CAU provide placement. Our college provides an internship program for student, in which students are advised to complete their internship within 6 months of its duration.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college of food technology is not up to par. Here, the infrastructure of the college, girls hostel and boys hostel is totally the same. Recently, our college got accreditation for ICAR and they'll be building a new college soon.
Faculty: Faculty members are cooperative, kind and positive; the curriculum and exams of each semester are followed strictly. The college dean is so cooperative and kind. Each and every task is accomplished by following rules and regulations. All types of official work are done by the administrative block .
