Q:   Is BBA at CUK worth the investment?

A:
{Source: BBA students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with modern amenities, including Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms and libraries.

Faculty: Okay faculty, with some being more experienced and knowledgeable than others.

Curriculum: Relevant curriculum that covers essential topics, making students industry-ready.

Extracurricular Activities: Regular events, fests, and sports activities.

Placements: Unfortunately, there are no placements guaranteed, and students must find internships and jobs themselves.

Internship Opportunities: None provided by the university, leaving students to seek out their own opportunities.

Food: Mess food is decent, but not consistently good.

Campus Life: Good campus life with a mix of relaxation and academic engagement.

Value for Money: While the infrastructure and faculty are decent, the lack of placements and internship opportunities might deter some students from considering BBA at CUK as a worthwhile investment.

Overall, while the programme has its strengths, the absence of placements and internship opportunities is a significant drawback. Students seeking a strong career path might want to consider alternative options. However, those interested in pursuing higher studies (MBA) or other certifications might still find the programme valuable.

Explore the unknown at this college.
Placements: Being a Central University, students get easier placements with higher packages. Most of the students in my course, i.e., B.Sc. geography, get internships in their second year itself. These internships are our practicals, which show us to what extent we have learned throughout the year.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. It is easy to access for anyone. The classrooms provide an atmosphere for studying. They have digital boards, air conditioning, and the best furniture. Hostel rooms are also spacious, with a maximum of six students in each room. The usual health checkup is available until 5 p.m., but the ambulance is available 24/7. Ankur is the annual sports fest that is held, in which various schools compete against each other for the championship.
Faculty: Teachers have mostly doctorates. They have a very good knowledge of their subjects. They guide us with special material through which we can grab the maximum we can. Teachers use presentations or usually visualize things to teach us better. Geography is a very rarely chosen subject, so we can get into some work just after graduation. The subject I have chosen, for sure, is to be chosen according to one's choice.
Other: I chose B.Sc. geography out of my own interest. I want to take geography as my optional subject, so I thought this would provide me with the basics, but geography is still a very interesting subject that explores the world through maps and theories, etc. Fests are conducted yearly, and we get scholarships according to the college guidelines and the reservation quota.

The college has a good infrastructure, and it is a good place for self-study.
Placements: Due to covid, there are no placements for the last 2 years, and now, our new vice chancellor, Prof. Battu Satyanarayana is trying very hard to provide placements for the next batch. Our professors help students to get placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel is excellent. Free Wi-Fi and hot water facilities are available. Drinking water facilities are available. The lighting is good. This is a good place to study. There are 4 hostel buildings. Based on the room size, the number of students are allotted. Security is good.
Faculty: Teachers are good at teaching. They are highly experienced, and a maximum of them have a Ph.D. They are friendly and teach very well. They help students to improve their skills. We can gain good marks in semester examinations. The pass percentage in our department is 97%.

Review of Central University of Karnataka.
Placements: At present, there are no placements in the department of geography and geoinformatics because of COVID, but faculty members are trying hard. In the previous batch, students were placed well. Many got internships at ISRO and other top institutions.
Infrastructure: Hostels on campus are good, having Wi-Fi and good places for studying. There are five types of hostels in CUK. The food is average. The campus has a computer center and a multi-purpose hall for indoor games. We have a playground and a health center. It's free of charge.
Faculty: Our faculty members are experienced and all have Ph.D. degrees. They support us in every manner. The teaching methods are very good. Exams are not difficult. They teach everything apart from the syllabus and the pass percentage in our department is 90%.

Everything is good and absolutely fine .
Placements: Actually from the beginning of this college the rating in respect of placement is no so good. But when I reached so I find little NIT good than that. Even in last 10 years a few no of student take placement that is not so good. Actually for the geography student placement should be taken in consendration.
Infrastructure: All are fine but in all those library are super because of biometric issue of book take place. Medical facilities are not so good docter are not so educated. Canteen not provide a variety of food even mess also not take the choose of food for different student from different state.
Faculty: Most of the teacher are excellent but the scarcity of faculty. So many problem is being faced by student. Even the syllabus most of the time not completed by faculty due to so many classes. Student wee not provide a special platform to achieve a better goal.
Other: All are most awesome because a university is looking like a mini india.

Q:   How good is Central University of Karnataka?

A:

The university is praised for its infrastructure, central library, and Wi-Fi facilities. However, there are concerns about the quality of roads, sports equipment, food quality in the hostel, and limited placements directly from the campus. The teaching quality is generally appreciated, but according to some students they have  to struggle with placements and certain facilities. Overall, while the university offers a conducive environment for studies with good facilities like libraries and labs, there are areas that may need improvement such as sports equipment, food quality in hostels, and placement opportunities directly from the campus.
