Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with modern amenities, including Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms and libraries.

Faculty: Okay faculty, with some being more experienced and knowledgeable than others.

Curriculum: Relevant curriculum that covers essential topics, making students industry-ready.

Extracurricular Activities: Regular events, fests, and sports activities.

Placements: Unfortunately, there are no placements guaranteed, and students must find internships and jobs themselves.

Internship Opportunities: None provided by the university, leaving students to seek out their own opportunities.

Food: Mess food is decent, but not consistently good.

Campus Life: Good campus life with a mix of relaxation and academic engagement.

M.Sc. Geography and Geoinformatics; Central University of Karnataka.
Placements: For the given department, few placements are available. Placement quality needs improvement. The department administrators are very helpful and provide help in job applications and personal guidance, which is very valuable for career prospects. Due to pandemic, the placements have decreased.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of department is the best with all the necessary equipments and licensed software. A lot of development is required for the overall college. (Note: Due to the pandemic our batch was not able to have a hands-on experience of this facility, but through the reviews from our seniors we were able to get an understanding.
Faculty: One of a kind, with the research aspect in Geography and the technical aspect of Geoinformatics. It binds the applicative aspect of GIS into research of Earth Sciences. This broadens the career opportunities for students. Faculty is well trained and aware in their respective fields. The management of the structure during the pandemic is great.
Other: Due to the pandemic our batch was unlucky to not have offline classes. Although the curriculum was well managed during the situation.

It has very good infrastructure, facilities, good and supportive faculty members.
Placements: For geography, there is no placement. We have to get enrolled for PhD or give some competitive exams like GSI or other related to geography to get a secured job. In PhD through GATE exam, we get a salary of approximately Rs. 31,000 per month. If we get it through the net, then it is more than Rs. 37,000 with HRA per month. If we get enrolled through the institution on the basis of academics, then we get less salary. Almost everyone gets internships in different institutions. Top roles that we get in our course are scientists and professor jobs.
Infrastructure: Everything is available in our institute like proper furnished rooms and classrooms. We get free Wi-Fi, and there are many labs in our department for different subjects. We have big classrooms with proper benches, desks, a projector and an air-conditioner. Our classrooms are soundproof. The hostel food is better than any other hostel.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very helpful, and they are all highly qualified have specialisation in particular subjects in their PhD. They teach us with proper explanation possible. The course curriculum is relevant to the competitive exams we attempt in future, and from that, we get a PhD. We are not industry-ready. Semester exams are average to pass, and the pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I have chosen this course to learn more about the systems of the earth. The best thing about this course is that we get to explore our earth more. I don't think that any extra things need to be added to our course. We do events annually, and the campus is not that crowded. The campus is spacious, and we are connected to people all around India. We get different scholarships depending on the eligibility.
