Cadidates seeking admission to the UG and PG Courses of Devi ahilya Vishwavidylaya will be granted admission on the basis of score obtained in CUET-UG 2022 or CUET PG 2022 respectively. DAVV CET is scrapped for the UG and PG admission. The admission form for CUET-UG 2022 and CUET-PG 2022 is available online.

What is DAVV CET?

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Common Entrance Test (DAVV CET) (now replaced by CUET-PG) was conducted for admissions to PG, and Research-Level programmes offered at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, and its affiliated colleges. This year authorities will grant admission to the UG and PG courses on the basis of the CUET score.  

DAVV Indore also conducts merit-based admission for several PG courses and Certificate programmes. For merit-based admission, eligible candidates are offered admission based on their past academic records, or Class 10, Class 12, bachelor's degree, or master's degree marks, based on the programme level and admission criteria. For the final admission process, eligible candidates will have to appear for the counselling or document verification rounds.

DAVV CET 2022 Application form

DAVV CET application form was released on the official website of DAVV University. Candidates could register online and fill the application form with personal, academic and other details and paid the application fees.

DAVV CET Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates desiring to take admission to UG/PG programme of DAVV must adhere by the prescribed eligibility criteria, failing to which their candidature will stand cancelled. Before filling the DAVV CET application form, candidates must read the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for DAVV CET. 

Age Limit

  • For undergraduate courses: The upper age limit for male candidates is 23 years while it is 28 years for postgraduate courses.
  • For MBA (HA 2 years) and LLM programmes: There is no age limit for female candidates and those applying 
  • For differently-abled candidates: Upper age limit for graduate and postgraduate programmes is 30 and 35 years, respectively. Also, three years of relaxation will be gievn to the differently-abled candidates from Madhya Pradesh.
  • For the BPharma course, candidates should have completed at least 17 years of age.

Educational Qualification 

  • UG programme admission: The candidate must have passed class 12th from a recognized board/university with a minimum of 45-55 per cent marks.
  • PG programme admission: The candidate must have completed graduation in relevant subjects with a minimum of 50-55 per cent marks.
  • 5 per cent marks relaxation will be given to the differently-abled candidates and SC/ST candidates belonging to Madhya Pradesh.
  • Candidates awaiting their qualifying result can also apply, provided their admission will be on a provisional basis until the candidates submit the final year mark sheet at the time of admission.

BBA (HA), BDS, BSc (Nursing), B.Pharm MBBS MBA (Hospital Administration Institute of Management Studies (IMS) and another medical degree of a recognized University equal to MBBS with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. Candidates must also submit the internship completion certificate by September 30, 2022, else the admission will stand cancelled.

Q. When is the DAVV CET exam conducted?

A. DAVV CET 2022 is expected to be scheduled for last week of August, 2022. The exam will be conducted across 31 exam cities. 

Q. When will the DAVV CET counselling begin?

A. The Counselling for DAVV CET will begin in October.

Q. Is there any age limit for appearing in DAVV CET?

A. The upper age limit for male candidates for admission to undergraduate courses is 23 years whereas it is 28 years for postgraduate courses. There is no age limit for female candidates.

Q. Is there any relaxation in the age limit?

A. Relaxation of three years in the upper age limit is provided to SC/ST/OBC and physically challenged candidates belonging to Madhya Pradesh only.

Q. Can a candidate whose result is awaited apply for DAVV CET?

A. Candidates whose results of Class 12 and graduation are awaited can apply for admission, however, they need to submit the final mark sheet at the time of admission.

Q. What is the basis for admission to the various programmes?

A. Generally admission to DAVV University and its participating colleges are conducted based on the DAVV CET exam, last year admission to the various programmes was done on the basis of merit due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Q. How many seats are reserved for foreign candidates?

A. 15 per cent seats in all the programmes are reserved for foreign nationals over and above the sanctioned intake.

Q. Will I get my preferred DAVV CET exam centre?

A. You will be allotted an exam centre for DAVV CET in the city of your choice as mentioned in the application form. However, the university reserves the right to withdraw or allocate candidates to another centre.

Q. Is there any negative marking in DAVV CET?

A. Yes, there is a negative marking in DAVV CET. For every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted while for every right answer four marks are awarded.

Q. How many colleges accept DAVV CET scores?

A. A total of 239 colleges grant admission to candidates on the basis of their DAVV CET score. Admission is done on the basis of a common counselling process. 

Q. Are EWS & SC/ST/OBC seats reserved for candidates of Madhya Pradesh domicile only?

A. Yes, seats reserved for the above-mentioned categories will only be offered to the candidates of state domicile, candidates irrespective of categories from other states will be treated under the unreserved candidate

Q. Is DAVV CET conducted in online mode?

A. This year, DAVV CET will be held in Computer Based mode. As per the original exam pattern, DAVV CET is supposed to be held online in one slot across 31 cities. 

Q. What is the validity of the DAVV CET result?

A. The result of the DAVV CET is valid for that particular academic session only. Those who decide to drop a year, will have to appear for the exam again in the next session.
