What are the IIT JAM 2025 Result Sharing Institutes?

When will IIT JAM 2024 counselling process starting?

IIT JAM Admit Card 2025 for candidates taking the exam for admission to the master's degree programmes was released on January 6, 2025, online on the JOAPS portal. Candidates are required the login with credentials ie., username and password to download their IIT JAM 2025 admit card.

IIT JAM mock test link has been generated for the test takers on the JAM 2025 official website. JAM 2025 exam for the candidates taking admissions to the 21 IITs, NIT and other result-sharing institutes was scheduled to be held on February 2, 2025. IIT JAM 2025 exam will be held in two shifts ie., the forenoon session for Chemistry, Mathematics and Geology subjects and the afternoon shift for Biotechnology, Economics, Physics and Mathematical Statistics.

IIT JAM 2025 results will be announced on March 16, 2025. Test takers will be able to download the JAM 2025 results by visiting the official website and logging in to their registered accounts. The exam officials will start the JAM 2025 counselling process from April 02, 2025, onwards on the JOAPS portal.

Candidates can go through the step-by-step process for JAM 2025 admissions below:

Step 1: Fill IIT JAM 2025 Application Form

For IIT JAM 2025 registrations, candidates can apply for the exam in online mode. Candidates need to visit the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) link present on the official website of the exam and fill out the IIT JAM 2025 application form there. IIT JAM 2025 online registration process was started on September 3, 2024.

IIT JAM 2025 application fee will be paid online only via net banking/debit card/credit card. It may be noted that candidates can apply for a maximum of two test papers at a time. But for appearing for the second test paper, candidates have to pay an additional application fee.

Step 2: Download IIT JAM Admit Card

Candidates are now able to download their IIT JAM 2025 admit cards from the official website. The last date for download of the IITJAM Hall Ticket 2025 is before the commencement of the examination. IIT Madras had released the JAM admit card 2025 on January 6, 2025. After downloading the admit card, candidates have to take a print of it and carry it to the allotted exam centre along with valid ID proof (original). Candidates not carrying the admit card and ID proof were not allowed to appear for the IIT JAM 2025 exam.

Step 3: Appear for IIT JAM

Next, candidates have to appear for IIT JAM 2025 exam at the allotted exam centre. Candidates can take one or two IIT JAM test papers. However, candidates appearing for two test papers must ensure that both exams are scheduled in different sessions.

Step 4: Check IIT JAM Result

IIT JAM 2025 results will be declared on the official website of the exam on March 16, 2025. For each test paper in IIT JAM 2025, candidates are given an All India Rank (AIR). Based on AIR, an All India Merit List has been prepared. Candidates whose names/ roll numbers appear in the merit list are considered eligible for admission in MSc courses offered at IITs and integrated PhD programmes offered at IISc.

Step 5: Fill Admission Form for IIT JAM Counselling

Qualifying candidates will have to fill the admission form available on the official website of JAM 2025 from April 02, 2025, onwards. Note that irrespective of whether a candidate qualifies for one or two test papers, they will have to fill and submit only one admission form. After filling the admission form, candidates will have to pay a processing fee of INR 750 in online mode through JOAPS. Qualifying candidates will be eligible to apply for the admission process.

Step 6: Check Admission List

After the submission of the admission form along with the processing fee, admission lists will be released on the official website of JAM 2025. After the declaration of the list, offer letters are sent by the respective admitting college/ institute(s) to candidates. After receiving the offer letter, candidates need to submit an acceptance form along with an advance seat booking fee in online mode through JOAPS.

After this, candidates will be allotted seats and their IIT JAM 2025 admission process will be complete. If seats remain vacant after the first admission list, two more admission lists will be declared for candidates.

Note: “Being on the merit list of any test paper neither guarantees nor provides any automatic entitlement for admission. Admissions shall be made in order of merit and depending on the number of seats available at the admitting institute(s),” states the official website.

It may also be noted that admission in IISER Bhopal, IISER Pune and Centralised Counselling for MSc/ MSc (Tech) for NITs (CCMN) will not be done through the common JAM admission process, informs the official website.
