BAMU Aurangabad Good for B.E./B.Tech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here are some key points to consider:

* Teaching Staff: The faculty members are generally considered helpful and knowledgeable. Students appreciate the guidance they receive, especially from senior faculty members.
* Course Curriculum: The course curriculum is deemed relevant and prepares students for the industry. However, some students suggest that it could be improved to make students more industry-ready.
* Infrastructure: While the campus is large and has good facilities, some students mention that the infrastructure is not up-to-date and requires renovation.
* Placement Record: Unfortunately, the placement record is not impressive, with around 10-30% of students getting placed each year. The highest salary package offered is around INR25,000 per month.
* Internship Opportunities: Internship opportunities are available, although not all students participate due to limited slots.
* Campus Life: The campus life is vibrant, with various festivals and events organized throughout the year.

Overall, while BAMU Aurangabad may not excel in terms of placement records, it seems that the institution has potential strengths in terms of faculty, infrastructure, and course curriculum. Students considering admission to the college should weigh these factors carefully before making a decision.

Note: These points summarize the general feedback from students and alumni. Individual experiences may vary.

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Programs at BAMU Aurangabad

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, the effectiveness of the placement cell at BAMU Aurangabad can be summarized as follows:

* Limited company visits: Some students mentioned that very few companies visit the campus for recruitment, which affects the number of job opportunities available to students.
* Low salary packages: Students reported that even when companies do visit, the salary packages offered are often low, making it challenging for students to secure decent jobs.
* Placement criteria issues: One student expressed dissatisfaction with the placement system, citing that it could be improved.
* Poor placement record: Several students mentioned that the college's placement record is not impressive, which can be demotivating for students looking forward to securing a job after graduation.

Overall, while the college seems to provide some facilities and amenities, its placement cell appears to require improvement to better prepare students for the job market.

A college with decent placements and good hostel facility.
Placements: Around 80% of students receive placements as well as internships. Top recruiting companies for my course are VI, and roles offered by these companies include GET, Intern, and Embedded Software Developer. Overall, companies that come for recruitment for CSE and AIML include Wipro, Accenture, and others.
Infrastructure: Our college includes Wi-Fi, labs, and a library. There are separate hostels for boys and girls, along with a gym, store, and mess facilities. Quality of food is good. Canteen facility is also available, and there is an in-house stationery store for students, which offers all the necessary stationery materials.
Faculty: My college faculty members are helpful and encouraging, providing ways to explore more in different areas. Teachers share the curriculum before semester and provide notes for each chapter to aid in studying. Semester exams are moderate in our college. For both internal and external assessments, students must score at least 40 marks in each subject.
Other: Events and fests take place at regular intervals to encourage students to participate. This helps increase their confidence and allows them to explore different fields.

MIT - an autonomous institute of technology.
Placements: There are no good placements here. They offer placement, but it is not that great. They offer placement with a really low package, and the placements are not that great for all students.
Infrastructure: The institute has a large campus with a five-story building and a large playground. There is no Wi-Fi for students, but staff have Wi-Fi access. There are four chemistry labs and four computer labs. The library is open 24 hours a day.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are well qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good, and they explain concepts in a way that makes them easy for students to understand. The semester exams are challenging but not overly difficult. The passing percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose to study computer engineering because I wanted to have a career in the IT sector. I chose this institute because it is an autonomous institute, which means that it has a high degree of independence and self-government.

Good faculty; average placement and poor infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are average at my college. Placements in the CSE department are for about 40% of students in computer science engineering. Internship opportunities are also available at average colleges, which provide an in-plant training program for 3rd and final-year students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is below average. The campus doesn't provide pleasant and encouraging vibes. One good thing about college infrastructure is that it has a big central library for all the students. Hostels are also below average. Wi-Fi services are also average.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is very good. All the faculty are highly qualified and very cooperative with the students in terms of both studies as well as other personal or educational activities. Teachers are very skilled.
Other: As a student at this college, the course of computer science engineering focuses on theoretical aspects and is very poor in practical knowledge. Events such as Kalavihangam are conducted every year for the students.

It is a nice college, I got very good company of friends, need to improve the administration system.
Placements: My course is new in my college, so only two batches are running. The first one will pass out in 2026, and ours will be in 2027. Now I'm in the 2nd year, and subjects like this and CGA are included with Mathematics, some portions from Computer Science, and some from Computer Graphics and related to Animation.
Infrastructure: Labs are good, libraries and other facilities are available, workshops dedicated to Automobile are also available, and for refreshment, canteens and cafeterias are there. But teaching needs to be improved a little bit. I'm not from the hostel, so I don’t know about it.
Faculty: As I said, teaching needs to be improved. Otherwise, all is okay. Semester exams are not that simple nor that hard, they have a moderate level. Curriculum needs more practical knowledge to make it industry-ready. Teachers are qualified. Some teachers are very helpful and have nice behavior towards students, but some are too rough to talk to.

Good College for low percentile student.
Placements: The placement at MIT is overall average. You get opportunities for placement, but the package is not assured; mostly, students get low packages from campus interviews. Students mostly get packages of nearly 3-6 lacs. High-package opportunities are fewer. Overall, I give it 6/10 marks as a review from my point of view, based on the electrical engineering department placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is above average because the hostel facilities are very good for girls. But on the other hand, boys do not get good service, especially in the mess. Food quality is very poor compared to the hostel fee. It's not affordable. No gym is provided. In the girls' hostel, the mess facility is average, and the hostel is very good, specifically, Tara Hostel is awesome. But it is costly, as are its facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good in all departments. But in the electrical engineering department, the faculty is not good compared to other departments because I faced many problems during my academics regarding internal marks. Internal marks are not provided fairly in the electrical department. So make sure you study well, because it is not easy to score on internal assessments.

A college with good extracurricular activities.
Placements: Every year, about 50% of students get placed. This year, the number was lower due to the recession. The highest package in 2024 was 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Siemens, Adani, Tata Technologies, NVIDIA, Tech Mahindra and many more. Internships are to be researched by students. The roles offered are those of GET engineers, RND engineers and many more.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is a bit old so it can be renovated. The condition of hostels is also not very good. They are old, as mentioned earlier. Library services are good. Mess food is also not very good. Basically, the canteen services were stopped by 2023, now they may be resumed. Sports and other extracurricular activities are promoted.
Faculty: The teaching is done only up to the second year. Afterwards, the teaching is not done more often. You need to study the subjects on your own. The teaching qualities are good. The curriculum is a bit traditional, but it can be more practical. The semester exams are medium-to-hard. You need at least 40 marks to pass the subject.
Other: The college had a good reputation in the city. The curriculum is a bit traditional, but it can be more practical. The infrastructure is a bit old, but it can be renovated. Events are good here: the annual alumni meet is held every year; Antarang is a cultural event; the sports event known as Lakshay is held every year; and the technical event known as Wings is held every year.
