B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2027
4.4

Good college life at DTU.
Placements: This year, the overall placements were affected due to the recession but still, a lot of companies visited the campus. The average salary package offered in CSE is approximately 23 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 82 LPA. As far as internship is concerned, most students find off-campus placements as the criteria. Campus placements are very tough.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are well-equipped with good infrastructure and machines. However, the first-year hostels need some work as they aren't in good condition. But this is the case with most of the hostels. The girls' hostel is fantastic as I have heard from my friends. But overall there are many labs and probably the best labs for core.
Faculty: Faculty members can be a hit-and-miss. Sometimes, teachers don't care about attendance and aren't much bothered about it. However, some are very strict about it. Moreover, I would say that teachers do take an interest in teaching and just don't come for formality's sake. It is up to the student whether he wants to study or not.
Other: It is one of the best colleges in North India. It proves its reputation. I was once skeptical of joining the college as I had got mechanical. However, it is worth it. There are a lot of cocurricular activities happening in the college and a variety of societies to take part in. There are regular fests. The campus in itself is very beautiful. I loved the vibe of the campus, and it is enough to consider the college along with good placements and overall personality development. Seniors are very helpful, and overall a nice experience.

B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing Engineering - Batch of 2028
4.6
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Good experience with qualified faculty, impressive placements in 2023. Good college life.
Placements: The usual placement percentage of the Mathematics and Computing engineering batch is around 75%, and a lot of students even pursue higher studies. The highest package was 82 Lacs per annum and the average package was around 19 Lacs per annum. Many good companies come to Delhi Technological University for placements, like Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, and Amazon, to hire students from the Mathematics and Computing branch. Internship opportunities are also ample, and around 60% of students are able to crack good internships from this branch. This branch offers both technology-related and finance-related roles to its students after they graduate.
Infrastructure: The library, labs, and classrooms are centrally air-conditioned. The libraries are big and provide the students with any book they require, with a strong Wi-Fi connection. Hostels are comfortable, the mess is very hygienic and clean, with nutritious food available. Medical facilities are really good, and quick medical aid is provided to any student in case of a medical emergency. The sports complex is big and provides students with equipment for any sport they want to play.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and teach with detailed and comprehensive methods, which make it easy for students to visualize every topic. The course curriculum is according to the new education policy and is highly relevant for making the student ready for the outside world and industry-ready after graduation. The semester exams are not too difficult and can be easily passed by attending classes and reviewing the notes made during the classes. The pass percentage in the Mathematics and Computing branch is more than 90%. It is very rare for students to fail in this course.

Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) - Batch of 2025

The okayish college for design
Placements: For our batch, the placements are not good at all. It is very different from what is being advertised on public platforms and should not be taken for reference. But the situation might get better as my juniors are getting much better opportunities on campus than we got for our batch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, even after constant construction throughout my duration in college, is not good. On the surface, it might look good, but they lack the bare minimum stuff for it to be considered a good design college in the first place. They spend a lot of money on departments that were never required.
Faculty: Exams here are just formality; the main weightage is given to your big project of the semester for each of the subjects. That will be considered as the priority for the subject. But with a few exceptions, both the faculty and the curriculum are not that good.
Other: The campus life and your peers are where you'll get most of your learnings from. Just do not rely on the teachers in hopes that they will teach something good.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2028

Absolutely satisfied and I would recommend you to join this college.
Placements: The Electrical Department of Delhi Technological University is the most placement-oriented branch after the tech branches. Around 80 percent of students were placed in the last year’s placement round. The highest package registered was 54 LPA and the lowest was 8 LPA. The average stood at 16 LPA. The top recruiters were Apple, Nvidia, BHEL, etc. Most students got government and private internships. The roles offered were intern, salesperson, assistant, and software developer.
Infrastructure: The whole campus has access to free Wi-Fi but the student has to configure it with his ID every day. Each room is equipped with its personal 2 or 3 LAN ports and the labs have separate Wi-Fi installed in them. The hostel has its own Wi-Fi situated for every floor and even has a LAN port for each individual and additional college Wi-Fi access. The mess food is decent and is better than other government colleges. We have a health center and a huge sports complex which meets the requirements of the students.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and are highly qualified. Most of the professors hold a Ph.D. degree. They use modern technology in their teaching. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and it makes it easy for the students to enter the industry. The semester exams are quite hard as the professors are highly qualified. The Electrical department has the least pass percentage as it is a difficult branch.
Other: I am very interested in electrical so I have chosen this branch. It leads me into the semiconductor industry. The use of modern technologies may make the core subjects easy and more understandable for the students. Events and fests are the best part of the campus; we have the best fest in all of North India.

Placements at Electrical Engineering in DTU.
Placements: As per the official report of the Training and Placement Cell of DTU, 73.56% of students in Electrical Engineering were placed. The highest package: 51 LPA in Microsoft (2024). Average: 14.5 LPA. The lowest: 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Samsung, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, IBM, Philips, L&T, etc. Approximately 40% of students got internships from the Electrical Engineering branch at DTU. Roles offered include Power Systems Engineer, Embedded Systems Engineer, VLSI Engineer, and Design Engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of DTU are marvelous. With a 164-acre vast campus, it is the second-largest engineering college in Delhi after IIT Delhi. A Wi-Fi speed of 1 Gb/s is available on the college campus as well as in computer labs. The labs of all the departments are well-equipped with the latest technologies and machinery. Mechanical Engineering labs of DTU are one of the best labs in India. Hostel infrastructure is also good, although there is no availability for Delhi resident boys. Mess food quality is average. A very good facility for sports is available inside the campus. Cricket and football grounds are separate. A special indoor stadium for badminton, table tennis, and chess is available. There is also a gym adjacent to the sports complex. Girls' hostels also have some treadmills. For medical facilities, a health care center is available in the college, with all the medicine and a qualified doctor.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. All the professors are appointed by UPSC. They are all very knowledgeable and are very helpful in case of need. The curriculum is up-to-date to make students industry-ready. In the first year, all the students have to study interdisciplinary subjects to gain knowledge of all the branches. Semester exams are a bit difficult for Electrical Engineering students due to the difficulty of the subject. The pass percentage is 90% approximately for all branches except Electrical Engineering.
Other: Campus and college life is marvelous. Many societies are there for the overall personality development of the students. Fests are organized regularly to freshen up the minds of students. Engifest, our cultural fest, is the best college fest in North India after IIT D. It is well-connected to Rithala and Samaypur Badli metro stations. You can also get scholarships based on the college policy. Semester toppers also get some scholarships.

Partially satisfied but doesn't have that level of facilities that IIT has.
Placements: In my batch, there are 75 students. I don't know much about packages as I haven't been informed about placements this year. I will be seeking placement, so I don't have accurate answers at the moment. Currently, no one knows if the internship opportunities are good. The cutoff is requested to be above 9, which may cause many students to continue without an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, with proper ventilation, water, and AC facilities. Wi-Fi is provided in the hall area, and the library is well-stocked with a lot of content. The sports area is also good, with ample space and equipment to play. There are proper grounds for football and cricket.
Faculty: Teachers were good, having proper knowledge of their subjects. Yes, studying IT in the era of AI is beneficial, as it provides a solid knowledge base for the future. Semester exams were quite difficult, but since all students sit together, they had the opportunity to cheat, so the overall pass percentage is good.
Other: Too many students in batch .
