 GBU admission in all UG, PG and doctoral courses is based on the GBU entrance test performance. However, candidates holding national-level test scores are also considered for admission, only if the seats remain vacant after GBU-ET.

The candidates who want to enroll for MBA at GBU, they need to clear GBU-ET with GDPI. The course offers specialisations in Human Resource Management/ Finance/ Marketing/ Operations/ Business Analytics. However, the eligibility for the programme is Graduation in any stream from a recognised University / College securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

Gautam Buddha University MBA fee includes various components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, one-time fee, etc. Selected candidates may also be required to submit certain one-time fees at the time of admission. The one-time fee ranged from INR 20,000 to INR 24,000 and comprised a registration fee, a library fee, and other components. The candidate have to complete class 12 with 45% aggregate in any stream from School/College for General category. Apart from this, 42% for OBC (Non-creamy layer), (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade and as per BCI rules. Similarly, the aspirants awaiting results of the qualifying examination can appear for the test on the condition that they have to provide proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks before or at the time of counseling.The three year diploma/polytechnic course issued by an institution recognised by the Government shall be considered at par with +2 certificate for the purpose of admission to the 5 year integrated LL.B. Degree Course.

MAT is conducted multiple times a year. Most of the MBA entrance exams in India are conducted annually. MAT is the only exam which is conducted multiple times in four phases and multiple exam modes. To make it possible for every MBA aspirant to appear for an entrance exam, AIMA designed MAT which can be taken by candidates from an exam centre as well as at home. The exam is held in February, May, September and December which allows candidates to prepare and plan for it as well as MBA Admission. In each of these four months, the MAT is conducted in CBT, PBT and IBT modes. Candidates can choose a date and a mode of exam as per their preparation and convenience. Registrations for each MAT exam phase start a month earlier. Candidates also take re-tests in the same academic session if they are not happy with their scores.

Gautam Buddha University offers two-year MBA programme spread across four semesters. The university offers MBA in Business Analytics & Data Science and General. Aspirants who have passed graduation in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) can apply for MBA course. Admission to MBA course is based on GBU-ET score.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for Gautam Buddha University BTech programme. Candidates need to complete three years/ two years Diploma exam with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category) to apply for BTech (LE). Aspirants with BSc degree or DVoc can also apply.

The university offers eleven MSc specialisations at GBU. However, the eligibility requirements also differs as per requirement. For example, MSc in Biotechnology required BSc degree in Life Sciences/Biology/ Biotechnology or any area of Biology from any recognised university/ college with minimum 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ ST) or equivalent grade. Yes, Gautam Buddha University offers number of scholarships to its students. These scholarships are awarded based on merit, financial need, or a combination of both. Some of the scholarships offered include:
