Strong industry-relevant curriculum with good placements.
Placements: At Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUS&T), the placement records for the ECE have shown impressive trends in recent years. For the [2023 -2024] batch, around 70% of the students were placed in reputed companies across various sectors. The highest package offered to a student from this course was approximately INR 10 LPA, with the lowest package being INR 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The ECE department at GJUS&T offers modern facilities like Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, fully equipped labs, and a resourceful library for academic growth. The hostels are well-maintained, with good Wi-Fi and decent mess food catering to various tastes.
Faculty: The teachers in the ECE department at GJUS&T are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, ensuring a solid learning experience. The curriculum is relevant and designed to make students industry-ready, with a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge.

"Beyond the Brochure: Unveiling GJU's Hidden Gems.
Placements: The competition was interesting, which was one of the reasons I chose GJU University. The average package of students here is around 11–12 LPA and like computer science, around 13–15 LPA. Our university supports startup ideas and gives free semester slots if they feel the idea is right. Career opportunities are huge, with companies like Microsoft and Apple coming here to provide internships. Internships are highly competitive and GJU helps you get that internship through the many programs offered by GJU.
Infrastructure: Campus life is great and our seniors are very kind and helpful. Clubs are happy to join and we have a variety of clubs, from travel to games. There are many departments to join the club, such as video editing, media, marketing and more. I live in a dormitory, and I share a room other than the AC. This hostel is not too bad. The custodian is kind and helpful, but we have no medicine.
Faculty: The curriculum is very good and the lecturers are very friendly. I should succeed in my exam only with the guidance of my teacher. In our university, we have good-quality teachers from prestigious universities. The login process is very simple. I gave my JEE set and scored 93 percentile and immediately went to the CSE seat, which is in Thapar University, and got CSE.

Take admission only in CS/IT, printing/packaging, and food teaching. And food teaches.
Placements: If you have no active backlogs, then you are placement-eligible. Generally, there are no CGPA cutoffs. CS/IT, Printing/Pkg., Food Teach: Awesome placements, very good percentage. Avg. Package: 4.5 LPA the highest: 12 LPA. Companies: small companies or startups from Delhi. Other branches: 1 or 2 core companies with very low packages, and others are sales roles, which are ridiculous.
Infrastructure: The best library in Haryana, with all books available, reading halls, computer centers, and top-notch Wi-Fi. Hostels are great and super affordable (not more than 25,000, including food and living). A very good hospital is there, and sports facilities are all present, but the annual sports meet is a bit dull and less popular.
Faculty: The course curriculum is up-to-date, and the teachers are also well-qualified. But very few marks are given in exams, and they too may reappear if you do not study. And also, if you want to get good marks, either write a lot of pages of anything or utter the words of the teachers; otherwise, study a lot, and then only you can get good marks.

Echoes of Engagement: GJU and the Call to Action.
Placements: The college has a huge number of placements every year and the number is increasing every year. Most of the students studying here are in their final semester. TCS, Ion Digital, and Cognizant are some of the companies that offer placements. Most of the time, I can get the first placement and then after working for two years, I can go back and do M.Tech.
Infrastructure: Campus life is good. We have many activities, clubs and extracurricular activities to be involved in. The college hosts TedX lectures every year. They have Takshak Technology Festival and Sanskriti Culture Festival, both of which students participate in. We also have an active sports team. (Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Athletics, Chess, Swimming, etc. ).
Faculty: The regular syllabus follows GJU University, like most engineering colleges in Hisar. But from 2025 on, the college will use its autonomous status and have a revised and updated curriculum. I believe that a revised and autonomous curriculum will become more important with modern updates in the curriculum and modern technology and education policy.

"Catalyst of Creativity: GJU and the Power of Imagination.
Placements: Semester 5 students can do internships on campus, and Semester 6 students can live on campus. Companies like Atlassian, Amazon, and other multinationals visit the campus and offer good placements. The highest package provided by Atlassian this year is 45 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. About 70% of the teams are placed in the first round.
Infrastructure: Campus life is the joy of GJU. The evenings at GJU are very lively and fun. The GJU festival is held once a year, and various activities are organized by students from each department. Each event holds special value. The GJU library structure is one of the main facilities, designed and planned with every type of book that students from every department need. A separate section of the library is also available for each department. It's beneficial to attend every class. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned and well-maintained.
Faculty: This curriculum was designed as part of the new education policy launched by the government. Manufacturing skills are taught to students in labs and through electives. Courses like Matlab, Voices, and Automation help students learn and master various technologies and applications. Semester exams are held twice: in the middle of the semester and at the end. The exams at the end are more comprehensive and more challenging than those in the middle.

Q:   Is GJUST a government or a private university?

A:

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology earlier known as Guru Jambheshwar University was established as a state university by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana in 1995. Being a state university, the fee for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is not very high. Even if the candidates feel that the fee is high, they can apply for the various scholarships offered by the university to the eligible candidates. A limited number of scholarships are available so apply early as soon as possible.

Q:   Is MCA at GJUST worth the investment?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the key points:

* Teaching Quality: Most teachers were helpful, but 23 out of 50 were rude. Teaching quality was okay, and the course curriculum was up-to-date. However, semester exams were average, and online studies during COVID-19 were challenging.
* Placements: 30% of students got placed, with the highest package being INR6 LPA and the lowest being INR2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Quinbay and Cloud Certitude. A significant number of students faced difficulties due to the mismanagement of placements caused by COVID-19.
* Infrastructure: The hostel was good, with facilities such as Wi-Fi, clean water, and clean floors. The canteen was nearby, but food quality was not great. Students who did not live in hostels preferred to eat outside. The library was vast, and classrooms were well-maintained.
* Campus Life: The campus was lively, with many events organized, including visits by famous personalities. Scholarship processes could be improved.

Overall, while MCA at GJUST may not be perfect, it still offers a good educational experience. Here are the pros and cons to consider:

Pros:

* Good teaching quality (except for a few teachers)
* Up-to-date course curriculum
* Decent placements
* Well-maintained infrastructure

Cons:

* Rude teachers (minority)
* Average semester exams
* Mismanagement of placements during COVID-19
* Limited recruitment opportunities
* Food quality issues in the canteen
* Needs improvement in scholarship processes

If you're considering pursuing MCA at GJUST, weigh these factors carefully before making an informed decision.
