A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Average college, poor placement.
Placements: The placement opportunities provided on campus are extremely limited and unsatisfactory. It is essential to put in significant effort and explore off-campus placements for better prospects. If you are considering on-campus placements, it is advisable not to pursue them as only a few companies, primarily in the field of computer science and information technology, visit for recruitment. Unfortunately, students from other branches will not have any job opportunities through the campus placement process.
Infrastructure: The state of the infrastructure was previously subpar, but efforts have been made to improve it. Prior to 2022, the infrastructure was lacking, but subsequent to that, new buildings have been constructed. The newly built hostel is of excellent quality, in stark contrast to the old hostel which was not up to par. It is worth noting that the old hostel was designated for 2nd to 4th year students, while the new hostel caters specifically to 1st year students.
Faculty: You must put in the effort yourself. If you are expecting exceptional faculty, you will be let down. The exam will be excessively simple, with questions that can be answered by studying for just one day. Additionally, teachers will generously award good grades. There is no need for you to exert yourself to achieve good marks.

Our college provides good infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are not good in our college. Only a few students got placements. The salary package offered off-campus is more than 30 LPA. Our college has a placement cell. Only a few companies visit our campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. Our college is under construction. The library is very huge. It has all books. Our college has different buildings for different courses.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent and helpful. The new teachers are not good.
Other: Our college is good. I am satisfied with our teachers. It is a good college for students who want to take GATE and IES exams. It provides very good education. Our college is affordable.

An honest review of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya.
Placements: The details about placement, the highest placement, and the average salary package offered are not shared officially. However, the sources I know say 12 LPA was the highest salary package offered. The information about internships and roles in internships is not shared anywhere.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure, the department of engineering does not have a very good infrastructure as it is a government college. The internet connectivity in the college is really poor. The labs are well organised and set up and have the latest equipment and software. Classrooms are well-equipped with green boards, whiteboards, and a smart board. The seats of the classes are well added. The hostel changes yearly till 3rd year and out of them, 1st-year hostels have the best facilities and rooms. The food is not up to the mark in the mess but it's good. The sports facilities are really good with two basketball courts, three badminton courts, two volleyball courts, and kabaddi as well as a football and a cricket ground. Medical facilities are good as the college has a medical department where the checkup and dedication are free.
Faculty: Not all teachers are well knowledgeable but most of them are. The teaching quality is good for most of the teachers. The course curriculum is relevant too as it is according to the new education policy which, focuses on overall development of students rather than just making them ace in curriculum. The semester exams are not at all difficult and have a moderate level. The pass percentage is 33% to pass for a particular subject.
Other: I opted for this program because it represents a firm fusion with my passion and professional dream. The curriculum perfectly balances theoretical knowledge with practical applications, which helps me gain in-depth knowledge regarding [the specific subject/field]. Moreover, the course allows me access to experienced faculty members, state-of-the-art resources, and opportunities to work on real-world projects essential foundations for. One of the best things that this course does is stress innovation and collaboration. It encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills in an understanding related to dynamic needs in industries. The course has excellent industry connections, providing internships and placement opportunities with top companies, and ensuring an easy transition from academics into a professional career.

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is a good college.
Placements: A former student, Abhij Tripathy, is the CEO of his own business. There are a lot of recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Dell, American Express, and others, but you have to focus on off-campus placements. As it is a Tier-3 college, you can't expect Google, Microsoft, and other top companies. The highest placement in 2022 was 17 LPA by American Express, and the average was 6 LPA–7 LPA. Internships are also offered.
Infrastructure: It has a huge campus of 650 acres. Now it is a part of Central University. It has 11 blocks for streams like LAW, B.Sc., LL.B., etc. B.Tech. block has a good infrastructure but not like NIT, IIT, or IIIT. Wi-Fi is not that good. Libraries are good. There are two libraries. One is the university library, and one is the departmental library. Classrooms are good. Classrooms here are like those at IITs and NITs. Labs are good, but you will be disappointed. There are physics labs. It's a university, not a proper engineering college, so there are no rooms for all students. Only 20 students in each department may stay in hostels. The procedure is very hard. The disadvantage is the food.
Faculty: The curriculum is good. It is approved by AICTE. Faculty members in the first year have more passion for teaching as compared to those in the second year. There are 2 class tests of 30 marks. End-of-semester exams are difficult everywhere, but here, CT-1 and CT-2 exams are the most important exams for maintaining a CGPA for the final exam.

My First college experience .
Placements: 100 percent students were placed in my course. The highest package of my course 18 LPA. The lowest package of 2 LPA and average package of 8 LPA. Students with gpa of 8 and above are most likely to get internship easily and the same for the placement also .
Infrastructure: E- classroom, Wi-Fi and labs are available in my faculty. One central and one departmental libraries are there where we can find course related and many other books. Quality of facilities in hostel are good and for the mess food quality is good as well as the taste .
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well qualified and very knowledgeable and their teaching quality is also very good. Semester examination are not too difficult. As we have a class test after every month and there are two ct and then end semester examination .

A:

Placement Cell Assistance for BE/BTech Students at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya

Unfortunately, our placement cell is not functioning effectively, and most students rely on off-campus placements, internships, or pursuing higher education (MS/MBA). Few students from CSE and IT branches had limited placements last year.

Here are some key findings:

* Limited Placements: Only a handful of students get placed annually, mainly in coaching institutions like Allen, Vibrant, and Career Point as faculty.
* Low Salary Packages: Average salary packages offered are around INR2-3 Lacs per annum.
* No Industry Exposure: The college does not provide industrial visits or projects, making students less industry-ready.
* GATE Exam Focus: Most students focus on clearing the GATE exam to secure PSUs or IITs/NITs for further studies.
* Internships Mandatory: Third-year students are required to participate in internships, which often lead to full-time employment offers.
* Placement Cell Issues: There is a lack of cooperation from faculty members, and the placement cell seems to be ineffective in securing job offers for students.

These challenges emphasize the importance of self-preparation and exploring alternative options for students seeking career advancement.
