Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory Subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects in year 2023, 2024 conducted by respective Boards. Candidates should have secured the mentioned marks in the Class 12th examination or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12th examination conducted by respective Boards. Candidates who are appearing in the Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2025 irrespective of their age, are also eligible. Note: List of qualifying examination(QE): i). Good infrastructure, faculty, extracurricular activities, and fests, but there is compromise in food

Placements: I am a B Tech CSE 2nd-year student, and there are about 100 to 110 students in every CSE batch. About 75-80% of students get placed every year from our university. Companies like mass recruiters and others offer an average package of 8 to 9 Lacs per annum, with the lowest package being 3 Lacs and the highest 28 Lacs, as per provided information, but there is more than that. Summer internships are provided by the university to students as per their interest.

Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure of the university is very good and worth the amount. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available to every student, and there are separate labs for different work. A large library with more than 50,000 books is available for everyone's interests. Classrooms are spacious and comfortable. Hostel rooms are in good condition with all-day light and Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess food is somewhat compromising, not that good. Every sport is available in this university, with specific grounds for each game except shooting and swimming.

Faculty: The faculty in this university are very cooperative and helpful for students, and they are highly qualified as well. They assist in clearing doubts and support students in difficult conditions, except for some faculty members. This university prepares students for all conditions. Semester exams are not tough; they are between easy and moderate level. The pass percentage is 95-97%.

Other: I chose B Tech CSE because I am interested in computer-related things and want to pursue my education in CSE. This course offers the highest packages in the university. The best thing is the packages of CSE, which are good compared to others. Various events take place in our university from time to time, with separate events for sports and other activities. Scholarships are available for JEE students based on rank for a period of time, and they can receive it for the entire degree duration.

Review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.

Placements: In my college, everyone gets placement in the Computer Science branch, and many students go for higher studies. The average package of CSE this year is 7-8 LPA, with the highest package being 17 LPA and the lowest 4 LPA. Every student gets an internship, and a few secure internships on their own.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our college, and the infrastructure of our college is good. In my college, there is CSE, ECE, Electrical, Civil, Biotechnology, and Mechanical branches. The library is available. There are 6 total hostels, 4 for boys and 2 for girls. The mess food is too bad. There are so many clubs and equipment provided for sports.

Faculty: Teachers make very difficult papers. They are highly educated and qualified with M.Tech from IIT, NIT, etc. Seniors are very supportive. They help in developing skills and provide a base. Some professors are supportive, some didn't support. The 75% criteria in our college is not good for us.

Other: As I have interest in coding, I chose the CSE branch. Events happen every month. Yes, in our college, the fest happened very big.

Smvdu - good natural view.

Placements: Talking about placements, as I am pursuing a degree in computer science, placements for engineering are a given in my college. The average package is 8 to 10 lacs per annum and the highest package last year was 25 lacs per annum. So placements are quite good.

Infrastructure: We have quite good infrastructure for our studies; we have well-equipped computer labs and well-equipped faculty to teach us. Hostels are average but not that bad. We have well-equipped Ethernet availability in all the rooms and reading rooms are also there for us.

Faculty: All faculty members are very good and helpful, and our college provides the latest curriculum according to the needs of the industry. We have 3 exams per semester: 2 minors of 20 marks and 1 major of 50 marks, which are quite difficult and the pass percentage depends on the number of students, which is generally 80–85 percent.

Other: I got admission here through JoSAA counseling. I pursued this course due to my interest in coding. The best thing about this course is that we get industry-ready for the software jobs we want. One thing that can be improved is that we can have some courses for industrial visits that will prepare us more for the industry. The overall experience is good. About the fest, we have 3 annual fests named Titiksha, Sarang, and Resurgence, in which all students show active participation. As our campus is situated in the mountains, the view is awesome, and there is greenery all around. Scholarships are also provided to the students.

Decent infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Around 80% of students were places in computer Science branch in the year 2022 at a decent average package of 8lpa. Companies like tcs, wipro, cognizant, capgemini visit each year. Some of the students also got internships at several companies offering about 30,000 per month. The highest package was 19lpa. Average was 7-8 LPA and the lowest was 5lpa. This year due to recession securing a good job seems tougher though.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college and hostel is pretty good. Wi-Fi is round the clock at speed of 600mbps through "NKN" network. Classrooms too have ACs projectors and comfortable seating. Library has plenty of books to go through ranging in every branch of every course. Hostel facilities like water and electricity are round the clock. The food served in mess is alright. Medical aid center is present in case of any health issues. We have a sports complex which is quite huge and well maintained.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and have decent knowledge of their subject, however the quality of teaching is not upto the mark. The course curriculum is somewhat obsolete and not enough to make the students industry ready. The semester exams are of medium difficult which can be easily passed if you study regularly. There are minor exams twice a semester and a major exam. The pass percentage is 40% along with 75% minimum attendance.

Other: I chose this through JOSSA counselling.

If you think that you'll manage out and you can study hard then WELCOME TO SMVDU.

Placements: Placement here in my college is just average, maximum strength get placed but not on a very decent package. Highest package in the year 2024 was 19 LPA and average was around 4-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies which came was TCS, BHEL, Orange etc.

Infrastructure: There is one central library, in which you can go and study or you can issue any book. Wifi is available everywhere in the campus, There are 4 lecture theatre available in my campus. Hostels are also good, canteen are open till 8 pm. Don't expect that you're going to get a very awesome food from the mess. There are courts available for sports, indoor badminton court or one sports complex and other games are also available.

Faculty: I chose this college because I was getting CSE branch, and placement here is decent. However you'll not get a very good exposure from here, but if you don't have any choice left and you are interested in CSE, this college will be a good shot. Academics here is good and faculties are also helpful. Here one mid-semester and major exams occur.

You might get admission in last few rounds in non core branches but it totally depends on your exact rank. Also, explore your other options in premier private colleges to have a better option. All the best.
