Absolutely satisfied because of placement 2023, really good infrastructure.

Placements: The college uses its network for placement. They have tie-ups with many institutes, and the alumni network is also helpful in placement. For an internship at the Institute of Mental Health, they give a profile of a clinical psychologist intern for 2 months. There are many options available. We can start our own clinic or work in a hospital as physiotherapists. For school counselors, a fresher salary is less but an experienced salary is more and a fresher can get up to INR 20,000 as salary offered by many institutes.

Infrastructure: The GU campus is mostly green, the roads are covered with trees, and the college is very well known. College is government and it feels like there are very few college libraries, but the central building library is the biggest. Librarians give books for 15 days, and after that, we return books. The classroom has a big board, many benches and windows, and a digital projector for teaching. GU have 24 hostels, 12 for girls and 12 for boys I stay in Indira Miri girls hostel (RCC-1) Here, many students live, and we get B.Ed. charging sockets, fans, and cupboards as facilities. Hostel rules are strict, food is given 3 times a day (morning, evening and night) and feels good.

Faculty: Our class strength is 32 students and it is the best institute for psychology. Our department has many professors and assistant professors. Teaching psychology is lecturing and PPT explaining. Our course curriculum is relevant to real-life activities. Mental health problems are on the rise and so is the demand. We can start our own clinic. Semester exams are not easy and practicals are also required. Out of 80 marks, the pass mark is 30, and it is very easy to pass the exam.

Other: I want to pursue psychology and do not want to spend much money and government colleges have less money so I chose GU.

The infrastructure and teachers are really good.

Placements: Above 80% of students are placed in the M.A. Psychology course. The average M.A. Psychology salary in India is INR 4.5 LPA, and it can go as high as INR 8.7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are T & A Solutions, Fortis Healthcare, Shiv Nadar University, ACRO, etc. The best roles for this course are Clinical Psychologist, Consultant, Practitioner, etc.

Infrastructure: Gauhati University always provides top-quality facilities and infrastructure. Our department staff solves problems on a regular basis. High-speed Wi-Fi and big laboratory rooms are available. Male and female hostel facilities are available. Canteen facilities and the University organize various games.

Faculty: Highly qualified teachers are available in our department. Some of our university's teachers have achieved awards. They have organized cultural programs to help the students be industry-ready. Teachers provide guidance to achieve your goals. Especially, our university exams are a little bit difficult. In this department, above 95% of students pass.

GU gave me the best campus life.

Placements: There are 26 students in our batch and 30 students in our junior batch. We didn't receive any placement here, but we interned in some of the NGOs like Shishu Sarathi, Mothers Old Age Home and Ashadeep Mental Health Care. It is a clinical course. Roles are not offered to the students.

Infrastructure: We don't have a Wi-Fi connection in our department, and we have 2 labs, 6 classrooms and a library. The hostel is like a home. We have good Wi-Fi over there, and the quality of food is not that good. We have a medical, but no such medical treatments were done properly. We have 3 basketball courts, 2 cricket pitches and a tennis court.

Faculty: Teachers and all the staff members over here are quite good, helpful, friendly, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is overall good, and we have guest faculty members who are also doing a great job. The course curriculum is relevant, and to some extent, it makes students industry-ready.
