Cit Kokrajhar. Best for book lovers for the library.
Placements: Placement in my college is quite low; last year it was just 60%. The highest package was 9 Lacs per annum, and the average was 4.5 Lacs per annum. Infosys offers the most. The internship in our college is quite low too. Assistant Engineer was the highest post offered last year.
Infrastructure: The outer infrastructure is good, but a few classrooms are not as good as others. The library is the best thing here. The best. The hostel has the best facilities here: big, clean, Wi-Fi 24/7, and water 24/7. The mess is bad, but the canteen is good. The sports facilities are very bad. We don’t even have an indoor stadium, and sports equipment is not given regularly.
Faculty: The faculty is very good, very well-qualified, and they are very helpful in many aspects. The course directly can’t make anyone industry-ready, but it helps. The semester exams are hard, but it’s an engineering exam; it should be hard. But the passing percentage is good (80%).
Other: I was a computer nerd from my childhood, so choosing this stream was obvious. The campus surroundings are good as it is not crowded, and the place is very peaceful. Scholarships are offered here, but only for ST/SC students. Connectivity with the main town is poor, but we have 4 buses that run on time, so it is okay. The best thing is its fest, which is Techracy and Estascy.

It is an average college located in the village area, which feels so natural.
Placements: 45% of students got placed from overall branches. Average package is 3-4 lakhs per annum.Internships are also given here which are so helpful. The strength of our branch is high as compared to other branches. You all can get admission by two methods.
Infrastructure: We have lots of classrooms and labs too ....Even some of the labs are newly formed….Internet connection is available in every CSE lab....Hostels are so good and well designed, but maintenance is not done properly ....Mess food is not so good, but mess is hygienic….You will have only veg items there
Faculty: Teachers are so helpful...They help us in different ways ....Exams are not that much thought about ...If we study, then we can pass our exams easily...It is not so hard...We have a total of 25 faculty staff for our branch, including professors, doctors , and lab assistants
Other: We get our personal lan ID's for accessing the internet....Campus is so good and eco-friendly...It feels so natural ....We have two fests for freshers....One is technical and the other one is cultural named as Techracy and Ecstasy respectively

Faculty and hostel are good.
Placements: Placement is not good; internships are only conducted by Nielit. Not good so not all will get placed. The only student who is placed is on their own, not in college. The faculty is good. The environment is good for studying. All the facilities were good until it came to mess food.
Infrastructure: The library is a digital library and it is good for studying. All the books in the library are for students. The labs are good. Classrooms are good and larger. Sports areas are good, like football, tennis and volleyball. Everything is good but not the canteen, like the weekend is off.
Faculty: semester exam is good all the subject questions are as asked per class. All the questions comes from the class topic, which is studying in class. If anyone studies class notes, then he/she is able to do so. Wi-Fi is not available in classes. Only Wi-Fi is available in hostel.
Other: Event is good .

In 2015, we had good placements.
Placements: The placement here is good, with 20% of students placed in college. The highest placement is 10 LPA, the average is 4 to 5 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. In this college, some companies like Amul and Amazon, as well as some smaller companies, come for placements. Some students also get internships outside the state.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure includes well-equipped labs (computers, science, research), campus-wide high-speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms with projectors, and secure hostels (shared rooms, Wi-Fi, CCTV). The mess serves hygienic meals with diverse menu options.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced in their fields, blending theory with practical insights. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering core subjects and electives, with a focus on real-world applications. Exams include written tests, projects, and practical assessments.
Other: I chose this college because college life is diverse, with students from various backgrounds. Social activities include clubs, events, and fests. It is academically competitive yet collaborative, with strong faculty-student engagement. Recreational facilities and hostel life enhance the overall experience.

Overall, the college is not so good.
Placements: A very small number of students gets placed from here. Students get placement in the 4th year only. The package ranges between 2-4 lacs per annum. Many students didn't get placement at this college. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, Amul and some for the civil branch.
Infrastructure: For the CSE departments, some of the faculty members are very good and some of them are average. A limited number of classes are available. But overall, education is good. Wi-Fi is provided in labs and hostels. The central library is good. There is only one girls hostel inside the campus. Mess food is poor.
Faculty: Some of the teachers from my departments are very helpful. They help us with every problem, whether it be career guidance or any other problem. The course curriculum is overall good. Semester exams are not so tough. It has relatively passing marks so you can easily get passed.
Other: A lot of scholarships are available for S.C.S. students. Also, some of the scholarships are for meritorious students. Every year, two fests are organized: Techracy, a technical fest, and Ecstasy, a cultural fest.

Students also asked

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Pros:

* Good infrastructure: The campus has a well-maintained digital library, comfortable hostels, and excellent medical facilities.
* Qualified faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, experienced, and helpful, providing both theoretical and practical knowledge.
* Relevant course curriculum: The course structure is similar to that of IITs and NITs, making students industry-ready.
* Scholarships: Various scholarships are available for students belonging to different categories.

* Poor hostel facilities: Food quality in hostels is often criticized, although amenities like Wi-Fi and LAN connections are available.
* Limited international exposure: While the college claims to offer industrial exposure, the extent of international collaboration and projects is unclear.

Overall assessment: While CIT has its strengths, such as qualified faculty and relevant course curricula, it struggles with poor placements and limited off-campus opportunities. How does the placement cell for B.E./B.Tech at Central Institute of Technology assist students in getting placed?

Based on the statements provided by students and alumni, here's how the placement cell assists students:

* Limited placements: Unfortunately, the placement record of the institution is not good, with some students stating that the placements are "almost nil" and those offered are from local food manufacturing firms with low salaries.
* Self-driven efforts: Many students opt for self-placed jobs rather than relying on the placement cell, indicating a lack of confidence in the cell's abilities.

* Lack of guidance and support: Another student criticized the placement cell, saying that the T&P cell members lack guidance and are not supportive.
