DAV is the pride of Dehradun.
Placements: Our college demands at least 40% in the 12th standard to give a seat in our course. College does not specially offer salary packages but the student while pursuing their graduation degree can opt for other courses. They provide a platform for students to make careers in politics and our college gave many politicians to our state.
Infrastructure: The college has various facilities including a cafeteria with a large variety of food items. Cleanliness is properly maintained in addition to this college has a library which has thousands of books offering preparation for many competitive examinations. The college also provides a special platform for extracurricular activities.
Faculty: Teachers are so helpful both inside and outside the campus. This course is majorly done by those students who have plans to serve in any type of government, defence, or any type of job. They provide proper guidance to students. Semester exams are not too tough and students solve them easily if they are practicing for competitive exams.
Other: I prefer this course due my passion for serving as a government employee. So while pursuing my Graduation I can prepare for Exams. The course does not need any type of modification It is perfect as it is.

A good college with under qualified faculty, average placements in 2024, average infrastructure.
Placements: Placements were good but not that good; they were average. Half of the students were placed. The highest package till now was around 8 LPA. The top recruiters were GrantThornton, CIPLA, Azim Premji Foundation, Yara Fertilisers India Pvt. Ltd., and PRODESK. Honestly, the placements were not top-notch but average.
Infrastructure:
The infrastructure of the college was average, and Wi-Fi was available, but the password was not told to students. The classrooms were in good condition. Talking about hostels, they were in bad condition. Most people preferred private rooms over hostels. The food in hostels was bad.
Faculty:
Most of the teachers were underqualified, but a few of them were really knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. The course curriculum was well designed. The semester exams were not hard; they were pretty easy, quite frankly. The passing percentage is 33 percent.
Other:
I chose this course as it was in my interest, and HNBGU is a very popular university in India. A little syllabus updation and more motivated teachers would have made a big impact. The college hosts many fests and events yearly where famous personalities like Ajay Houda, Jubin Nautiyal, and Narendra Singh Negi perform. The college surroundings were good with a lot of food outlets and many different shops.

Good Experience, Good People.
Placements: There are no placement facilities in our college right now, but I believe soon the college will provide us with a placement cell and internship opportunities. Currently, there is no placement cell, so there are no highest or lowest packages. No companies have visited our college, and as there is no internship cell, students haven't had any internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility in our college. The infrastructure is good, and the classrooms are very good. The library has a large collection of books. There is no hostel facility at present, but we do have a canteen, and the food there is decent. Additionally, there are sports facilities in our college.
Faculty: The teachers of my B.A. department are really helpful and cooperative with the students. They are very qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is great. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares us for the real world. The semester exams are really easy, and the pass percentage is more than 90%.
Other: I was interested in economics, so I chose the B.A. Economics course and I am fully satisfied with my decision. I was preparing for a government job, so I chose this college as there is no issue with attendance. There are some things that could be improved in our college, such as the lack of large fests; only cultural fests are organized, and the infrastructure could be better. The crowd is very good, but only cultural fests are organized, and there are no societies.

My college experience at HNBGU.
Placements: I do not know much about the Placement Cell. However, as far as the professional courses are concerned, the placement is quite decent, although not the best. Talking about my course, no placements are offered as of now. Yes, a lot of students go for internships in Archaeology and other fields.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good, especially in the Chauras Campus of the University. The canteen also serves decent food. There is a Basketball Court, a Football Ground, and a Gym on the University Campus. Wi-Fi facility is available all over the college campus.
Faculty: The faculty is quite knowledgeable and supportive of the students. They tend to make the lectures more interesting, in order to avoid making them boring. They tend to have a good bond with the students. The difficulty level is moderate and not really lengthy as such.

Not the best, but DBS PG college is better than most of the other colleges.
Placements: There is no such guarantee for the placements in this college but there are very good teachers and faculty who provide a lot of educational stuff and help the students. Every year, approximately 1500+ students take admission in this college. The seniors are also very helpful.
Infrastructure: As it is a government college, there is no hostel available in the campus. Students either live in PG or rent a room. Library is available. There are labs available for different departments, and the classrooms are fine. There is a canteen provided for the students and the teachers. A lot of sports and games are held once a year in the college and everyone enjoys it. There are so many events taking place in the college such as holi and new year events along with a fest which is held once a year for 1 week. The infrastructure of the college is decent and fine and the study environment is very good.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and excellent having a lot of knowledge in their respective subjects and they teach so well. The exams are also not very tough, you just have to see some PYQs to score passing marks. The passing percentage is 33/100 for this college.
Other: DBS PG college is a very small college in Dehradun but it provides very good education and I took B.A. because I want to go in the teaching profession and would like to do my M.A. from same college as well. So many activities take place in this college. NCC and NSS clubs are also available in the college. New events take place every year and students have lots of fun.
