Yes, all IGNOU degrees are valid for any purpose, whether you are appearing for any entrance exams or employment exams. It has recognition at the national as well as international levels. IGNOU is a recognized university under the UGC and a government university. Adding further, an IGNOU degree is approved by the Distance Education Bureau (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as well. Additionally, IGNOU provides free UPSC CSE coaching to scheduled caste candidates at no cost. Every year, IGNOU invites applications from scheduled caste students for free coaching of UPSC IAS (prelims and mains).

Certain programmes are not allowed under the simultaneous registration. Students are advised to visit
the official prospectus for the same. Additionally, there will be no change in the counseling/ assignment submission/ examination schedule in case dates for the above clash for the courses in which a student has taken admission.

IGNOU is a national university recognised all over India. The university is recognised by various government bodies and educational organisations, including the University Grants Commission (UGC). IGNOU lets students study from their home. They only require to appear for the term-end exam once in a year. IGNOU provides study material to all the students pursuing a course from the university. The material is accessible to all the students irrespective of their location. While filling out the application form, students can choose hard or soft copy of study material. The study material is free of cost and aspirants only need to pay the course fee for admission.

 It is compulsory to carry IGNOU ID-Card when appearing for the exam. As per a recent notification released by the IGNOU university, SC/ST students seeking fresh admission and re-registration to the July session of IGNOU admission are exempted from fee payment. Students who have applied for B.Ed, MBA or PB BSc Nursing must appear for the required entrance and check if they've qualified it. According to the IGNOU Academic Year Calendar, the term end practicals were held in January and the next practical exam date will be released soon. Practical exams are held in the study centres only. Yes, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers a programme called "Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education" (DECE) which is specifically designed for individuals interested in pre-primary teacher training. Students need to submit assignments before the deadline given by the university. As per the information collated from web, If any student does not submit the assignment and recieves the hall ticket, he/ she can appear in the Term End Exam conducted by IGNOU University. However, the assignment section in the grade card will show 'Not Completed'. Assignments are an integral part of the curriculum because the same carry 30% weightage during evaluation.
