A good institute for study and research.

Placements: You can get placed directly in the ISRO organization in IIST after completing your course. Criteria required by ISRO organization to recruit the IIST students. 1. You have to attain a CGPA greater than 7.5 at the end of your course. 2. Maintain the proper discipline throughout the college year; you are going to be placed in a country space organization at the end of your college life, so for that you have to make yourself better to that extent. Information regarding placement. 1. There are 75...

It is a good college in terms of education.

Placements: About 80% of students got placed in the last year's batch. A few students choose to study further. The main recruiter is ISRO, so there are no highest package criteria. Along with ISRO, there are a few other companies like Skyroot and Agnikul Cosmos. Everyone got internship offers in ISRO and a few other companies and institutions.

Our college is good for students who have an interest in space science.

Placements: The highest salary package offered in the avionics course in 2024 is 23 LPA. The highest salary package offered in the aerospace course is 13 LPA. The average salary package offered in the avionics course is 13 LPA. The average salary package offered in the aerospace course is around 6 LPA - 8 LPA. I don't know much about engineering and physics. I don't think it has much scope from here. If students are coming here, come only for knowledge, not to seek jobs.

Satisfied with academics, sports and extracurricular activities.

Placements: In recent years, the majority of students were placed at ISRO but now the 2025 batch does not have a bond with ISRO and we are not sure of the number of companies that would come for placements from our campus. The advantage is that we do not have to submit a paper with ISRO conduct to get a job there.

It's a good college if you really want to study, and campus life is also good .

Placements: Actually, we aren't sure about the placement because the ISRO bond has been removed so the placement thing will be masked starting next year without the ISRO bond. The college has an average package of 10 lacs. You can get internships from many companies inside and outside India in the space sector.

The college was offering the best quality placements and faculty in our course.

Placements: Our college offers multiple placements to its students. Around 50–60% of the students get placed in our course at this college. The average package offered here at this college was between 4 and 7 LPAs. Top recruiters in the college were Infosys, Teach Mahindra, Wipro, Philips, etc.

Review for IIST - Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology.

Placements: 85% of the students have been placed. Due to the limited number of students at IIST, all of them have excellent placement opportunities. If you have a CGPA of 7.5 or above, you have the chance to be recruited by prestigious companies such as ISRO, Bosch, Benz Mahindra, Tata, and more.

Academically challenging but if you are really interested in space this is the best institute.

Placements: As a freshers, I've noticed that a majority of the upperclassmen have already joined ISRO due to their contractual obligations. However, various IT and mechanical companies still visit our college for recruitment. Although the bond system no longer exists, this institution provides an excellent opportunity to enter the space industry, as evidenced by our seniors who have pursued entrepreneurship and offer valuable guidance to us students.

Overall, a pretty decent college.

Placements: Till the admission batch of 2020, there was a bond, so around 95-100 students go directly to ISRO, while others mostly join private firms. Major private firms include Skyroot Aerospace and Agnikul Aerospace. Most students receive around 10.5 LPA in private firms, and a minimum of 7 LPA is guaranteed.

Academically, it is the best!

Placements: Placements as of now are mainly based on ISRO absorption of B.Tech students, but with new policy and upcoming space startups in future, they may rise. As of now, mainly software related jobs are offered and if any domain related job comes, it of research type.

Dissatisfied with placements and enormous stress level, so it is better to go for another college.

Placements: Around 40% of students got placed. The highest package goes around 10 LPA, the lowest package goes around 2 LPA, and the average package is around 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Mercedes Benz, BYJU's, Tata etc. There are no extracurricular activities.

It is an average college right now, but maybe in future, it will be good.

Placements: Very few companies or none of the companies visit here for placements. Placements are provided only in ISRO for students who get a 7.5 CGPA. But suppose if 50 students have 7.5 CGPA, and there are 35 vacancies in ISRO, then only the top 35 students will get selected. So, good rank is also important. Generally, about 50% of the students got placed from here. Our college is working on the placement cell.

It is a good college with some exceptions.

Placements: Most of the placements in our college are from ISRO as ISRO scientists. This depends on the cumulative GPA of a student in all 8 semesters in four years of the college course. Private company placements are less and more than 50% of the students go to ISRO.

Really good infrastructure and facilities but placement is not good.

Placements: 50-60% student got placement in our campus. In our campus, the highest salary is 8 Lacs, averaged salary is 7 Lacs and the lowest salary is 4 Lacs. The top recruiting companies were ISRO, Mahindra, Agnikul, airolab opticals etc. Top role offered is Scientist. In ECE, the highest-8 Lacs, average- 7 Lacs and the lowest- 4 Lacs. Most of the student doing their internship in ISRO center (30%) and college (60%)itself but few student go to abroad (10%) also.

This college is for those who can study daily for two hours. Don't expect fun once you join here.

Placements: You will directly get placed in ISRO if you get above 7.5 CGPA. But, the number of seats for placements are limited (last year, it was 25 per branch). If you don't want the placements, then you can opt for getting into ISRO by paying 6 Lacs. The salary offered is around 60k per month, it is not the main headquarters of ISRO, but other sub-branches of it. Those students who don't get 7.5 CGPA are not eligible for placements.

The first space institute in Asia.

Placements: Most of the students are absorbed by ISRO. All the students who are above 7.5 CGPA are eligible for the job, but the placements is done based on the availability of jobs in different ISRO centres across the country. Mostly internships are done in the college itself as students can explore the area in which they are interested. But, there are many other students who go to internships outside the college into institutions like IITs, IISc, universities of different countries like US, Canada, Denmar...

Good facilities and faculty.

Placements: In general, all the students who score a GPA of 7.5 or higher have been placed in Department of Space (DoS) throughout India until last year. Students also get placed in ISRO as it also comes under DoS. But from this year, only 50% of the students may get placed in DoS due to lesser vacancies. TCS has also visited our campus for placeme...

Placements: Until last year, the candidates who secured CGPA >=7.5 were directly absorbed by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). But for the students who joined in and after 2013, they will be given a job in ISRO based the number of vacancies. These will be posted as a scientist/engineer grade 'c' in ten ISRO centers which were in different places all over India. This is the first time people are facing problems for the jobs. A placement cell(not much alive) is there for the students scoring below 7.5 CGPA. Internships and projects are done either in different ISRO centres or in the college itself.
