A hidden gem of a college (better than new IITs).

Placements: The placements are mostly directly to ISRO, all students with a CGPA above 7.5 are placed in ISRO, other companies include space startups such as agnikool, SkyRoot, etc. Approximately 80–90% of students get placed, while many choose to go for higher studies.

Review of IIST - Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology.

Placements: The placements of IIST are amazing; the students get placed in ISRO; some of our alumni are working in NASA/JPL also. Apart from ISRO, the placement is dismal, and generally 60% get placed in ISRO. Other than that, some other companies like MathWorks, Texas Instruments, Accenture, Infosys, etc. do come. The average package is around 10 LPA.

Everyday starts with excitement and ends with new learnings.

Placements: Just the previous year, I started my college journey. Undoubtedly, the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology offers huge placement opportunities. For instance, in 2023, they had a 97% placement rate. Top companies like TCS, Siemens, and Persistent hire our college students.

It is a very good beginning for a new life.

Placements: There will be no partiality among students during placements. Everyone asked to attend the same coaching for placements. Depending on our performance, students got placed at various companies in our campus drives. Our alumni got placed in companies like Oracle, KPIT, Reliance, and EY.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty, good placements, and really good infrastructure and facilitie

Placements: The average package is around 15 LPA. Top companies include ISRO, Mercedes Benz, etc. All students must complete a compulsory internship in their third year. There are opportunities to go abroad for internships, with all expenses funded by the college. Top roles include grade A scientist, etc.

IIST review: good infra, facilities and placements but lack of extra curriculars.

Placements: The 2020 batch of IIST has a bond signed with ISRO, so all the students whose CGPA > 7.5 have been given placement opportunities at ISRO, with packages varying from 8-12 LPA. In earlier years, the main recruiter was the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), but now, in Aerospace, many new space startups have provided placement opportunities. In the 6th semester of the course curriculum, a mandatory internship must be completed. So, most students in their 3rd year have opportunities for inte...

Many opportunities for working in ongoing projects and research work like in Space lab, Rf lab.

Placements: Till now, most students who were placed in ISRO had a CGPA above 7.5. From 2021 onwards, ISRO's bond has been suspended, so it is expected that other recruiters will visit the campus. For ISRO recruitment, students don't need to write ICRB like students from other colleges, but they do need to pass an interview.

Really good academics, not so good extra curricular and more about my experience in IIST.

Placements: In this college till my batch, you would get directly absorbed by ISRO if your CGPA is above 7.5 on a scale of 10. But other than that the placement situation is not as good as some IITs. From the Next batch onwards there is no direct absorption in ISRO so our placement cell is trying to get better placement for the students. Top companies include Accenture and TCS. There are also some renowned start-ups like AgniKul which is operated by IIST alumni and you can get a package of around 8-10 LPA t...

Great opportunity to get placed as scientist in ISRO, good infrastructure and experienced faculty.

Placements: Our institution is managed by the Department of Space, Government of India. IIST has a direct collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Most of the graduates get placed as scientists or engineers in various ISRO centers. Along with that, many space companies and startups offer jobs to the students of IIST.

The campus is about 50 acres.

Placements: All students with a CGPA above 7.5 are placed. ISRO directly hires candidates who meet the 7.5 CGPA criterion and pass the interview. The highest CTC is LPA 16.6 in AVIONICS and LPA 13.2 in AEROSPACE. Recruiters include Tata SERVICES, MAHINDRA LTD, MERCEDES BENZ, etc.

College mainly focus on courses related to aerospace and avionics.

Placements: Until 2020 batch there used to be a 3 year agreement on placement in ISRO centers. From 2021 it's revoked. So now college is seriously trying to get placement opportunities to our campus. They are also trying to provide mock placement exams and other stuff.

Review of IIST - Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology.

Placements: All students who have a CGPA above 7.5 are placed. The salary package offered is 8 LPA as every student is directly recruited by ISRO. ISRO directly hires you if you have secured the 7.5 CGPA criteria and passed the interview.

Good placements, good labs and infra .

Placements: People are placed in ISRO if they get 7.5 CGPA but companies are less and rare. ECE people get good jobs but for aerospace the job is less. Companies like TCS and Infosys came but offered very less CTC. Isro pays around 80000 in hand salary to the absorption .

I am satisfied with studies, infrastructure and facilities, but it's below average for sports.

Placements: From the last passed out batch, around 90 students got placed in ISRO. Our college provides government jobs. They all have the same grade-1 salaries, i.e., about Rs. 56,400 per month. Since our college is new, there is no good placement cell, and the number of companies visiting our college is very low. So, the top recruiting company here is only ISRO. Our college has a tie-up with ISRO to provide jobs, so other companies usually don't visit our college. About 30% of students got their internshi...

This college is students' dream place.

Placements: This college offers a chance for ISRO jobs to the students who are above 7.5 CGPA by the end of 4 years. As of now, the batch of 2018, 2019, 2020 get a chance of jobs, but for the future batches, the students above 6.5 CGPA is eligible for interview for ISRO job. Other companies also visit to offer seats too, and it depends on how good is their batches for the placements team.

It provides a way to ISRO with good teachers. JEE advanced cut-off rank is 9,000.

Placements: Out of 140, approximately 110 students got placed in ISRO as a scientist. For getting placed in ISRO, students should score above 7.5 CGPA. If you get more than 7.5 in every semester, then your fee is nil including hostel, dining and education. Everything is free. You get Rs. 3,000 per semester just for buying books.

Our college is an excellent space institute for future space programs.

Placements: Above 70% of the students get placed from college from every group in every year to the available ISRO centres. Many other companies, like automobile industries and other software companies, also hire students. Mostly every student above required CGPA is placed at ISRO centres.

Placements: There are 60 students per batch in our branch out of which around 40 students will be placed in may of 2020 in ISRO centres. That is about 66% of the student population. The rest students generally go for higher studies, and some peivate companies includes HAL Hyderabad. Our main recruiting companies are government companies ISRO and DRDO and the job offered for every student at the joining is Scientist-C.
