An enriching experience for any B-school aspirant

Placements: The placements are at par with those at the best B-schools in the country. The small batch size of 120 also helps. It is one of the best B-schools in India for operations and supply chain management. The best roles offered are in operations, supply chain, and IT consultancy. The maximum offered package was 27 lpa in finals and 1.8 lpa in summer internships.

Review of SJMSOM, IIT Bombay

Placements: Very good placements in supply chain/operations with a number of good companies offering high CTC & varied profiles. It is definitely the most sought after stream in college. Placements in finance & marketing are also good and along with consulting (ops, tech, IT).

Best college one could find in India. Freedom, good placements and great exposure

Placements: The placements were pretty good, compared to previous batches the salary offered and the no. of selections for a company (mainly for consulting companies) reduced a bit due to demonetization. Out of around 1400 less than 30 are not placed and these are those who are not much interested in placements so you can say it is 100%. The highest salary is 35 LPA, the least is 3.5 LPA and average will be around 8 LPA. Around 350 companies visited so it's difficult to name them. The roles include software...

IIT Bombay: Tough to get in, even tougher to leave.

Placements: Placement opportunities are quite good here. A variety of companies offer jobs in consultancies, software companies, etc. The packages are decent enough for freshers with only a bachelor's degree. Around 70 to 75 percent people scored jobs in the placement year of 2015-16.

IIT Bombay, a campus to be dreamt of and enriched with lively and delightful things.

Placements: Typically, it is expected to get a fine placement. Although like every college, CSE has the greatest placement. But the scope for other branches is equally good. There is a nice placement preparation before the placement begins in December. From the month of May, the student bodies organize various boot camps like analytics, consulting, management, programming, FMCG, which gives a direction to the thinking of the students. The resume building session goes on equally well for over a month and a h...

Review of IIT Bombay (computer science).

Placements: Placements for my batch was smooth and the college's TPOs were very approachable. Around 80-90% students got an offer. The salary was above par as compared to the market standards. I was in the computer engineering department and hence have seen all giant IT market leaders coming forward for placements. Internship wasn't compulsory but there were ample opportunities for students who were interested.

One of the best colleges in India.

Placements: Almost all students got the internship through college leaving those with backlogs. Placements were also good as almost all got placed and some went for higher studies. So many companies visited the campus including MNCs. Students got a job in core as well as non-core sectors. The percentage of non-core was more than core jobs. Students got placed in finance, consultancy, coding, tech jobs, etc. Some went in the management sector too.

A glimpse of life at IIT Bombay.

Placements: Based on past experiences, the situation has been good. In my personal view most students who wanted a job, got a job. In terms of statistics, more than 70% of the department has been placed as of now, while the remaining 30% contains a huge chunk of students opting for higher studies.

SJMSOM - The right place to be.

Placements: The placement season went well, especially considering it was held in the immediate aftermath of the Trump election and the demonetization saga. SJMSOM recorded 100% placement, with the highest package of almost 30 lacs and the average of almost 18 lacs. 52 companies visited the campus.

Placements: Around 70% of the students got placed in core and even non-core companies. The average salary offered was around 15 lakh for electrical (in core) and around 21 lakh for computer science. The highest package was 90 lakhs per annum and the lowest is close to 8 lakh. Companies like HSBC, ITC, Accenture, Cadbury, ONGC , Infosys, Cisco Systems, Barclays, Bharat Electronics, etc. Usually, on an average, every student will spend any one year summer on internship.

Placements: In our senior batch, the placements were 76% and the average is about 6.58 lakh per annum. I am talking only about civil engineering, IIT Bombay. Overall, they had an excellent placement season last year. Highest was 36 lakh per annum in Singapore in a marketing and consultancy company and the lowest was 5 lakh. Placements: Placement of the college is pretty much good. I am the student of pre-final year batch. This year had good placements with good packages. Almost all the students got placed. This year almost 40-50 companies visited the college for placement. The placement department is also very friendly.

One of the best engineering colleges with awesome placement.

Placements: As we know that IITs are the best engineering colleges in India. The best thing in IIT Bombay is its placement. The placement rate is very high. Some students got above 1 crore per annum packages. Most of the biggest tech giants visit here and offer very high packages. Google gives the highest package here. So, all in all, the placements are awesome here.

Placements: Most of the people from my department got placed. If you take on an average, overall, would be more than 80%. The average salary offered by companies was around 7-8 LPA. Most of the top firms visited our campus and usually, they offered analytics, consult and coding profiles except core companies.

Incredible infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placements, to be very honest, are good from IIT Bombay. The percentage of campus placements generally vary from 80%-85 % every year. Students also approach the companies by themselves. The lowest package offered was 4.8 lakhs per annum and the highest was 1.4 crores per annum. But these are the extremes and there is very less chance to get such packages(both low and high). On an average, 7-8 lakhs per annum is offered to the students by the companies. Companies like Bain and Co. Boston consulti...

Placements: Around 70% of the students who sat for placements had a job at the end of the first round. Salaries vary across companies and departments and hence I would prefer not to provide an exact figure. Roles offered to the students varied from core technical jobs to finance, consulting and banking jobs. Around 50% of the students get an internship from the college - the maximum stipend is around Rs. 1,50,000/month whereas the average is Rs. 40,000/month for the third-year students. ...

SJMSoM - Things very few would tell about.

Placements: The placements of class of 2013 were pathetic. The final situation was that out of 100 students remained for final placement, close to 30 remain unplaced. There was no support from the school for placement. Faculty members straight away rejected saying that they have nothing to do with the placements. Students finally managed placements at their level with no official support from the school.

Placements: Students generally move for Universities abroad as physics is much of a research stream. Still the students who sat for placements were placed in many big start-ups and companies. Placements: There's no placement. Companies don't visit these days. Moreover, faculty members are also not supportive for placements. Professors are more interested in research and they wish that students also do research which is not possible for everyone as everyone has got their own priorities.
