Everything is the best except hostel infrastructure

Placements: The placement cell does not disclose the actual figures but on an average, 90% students get placed in on-campus placements who register for it. The rest of them either start working in startups/entrepreneurship or apply in various foreign colleges for higher studies. The percentage selections are the highest from the CSE department, followed by Electrical department, while it is the least from the Metallurgical department only accounting from the B.Tech. program.

Placements: Usually in IIT Bombay, Placements start from December of every year. To be precise December 1-18 is the first phase of placements. Most of the students get placed during this phase itself and phase 2 starts from January and companies come in scattered manner till April. Usually, there is 65-70% people placed every year. Don't be misguided by this number as many people even after registering for placements drop out of them for their other career plans like MBA, UPSC exam preparation, higher studi...

What makes this place more special, apart from the good education, quality professors, infrastructure etc, is the peer group that you get here. The bonds that one forms with the group of people here is probably the most valuable. You would be accompanied with world class facilities not only in laboratories, research activities but in your day to day activities except your rooms.

Incredible experience throughout college life, crowd campus, amenities and support was outstanding. The labs, infrastructure and faculty were given immense support at any time. Sport is another extra-curricular for us. We played and studied and scheduled for each and every task in regular intervals. My journey has started without expectations at the campus, but once my college has started then I got to know about what's the life? And how will make a fruitful life.
