DMET- Making the best mariners in the world

Placements: It is good here. If you study well and have good extracurricular records then you can easily grab the best here. Physical fitness is also considered here at the time of placements. Many companies come here to provide placement you can grab a good package if you come here. A salary in USD is always a nice feeling. You will board a ship as a fifth engineer then after passing MEO Class IV, you will be promoted to fourth engineer.

Not completely but partly satisfied with the college and tactics it follows to train the cadets.

Placements: Regarding the placements of our college, not exactly 100% yet. It is quite okay in accordance with the lower demands of marine engineers in present days, due to increase in the automization of ships, which has hence lowered the minimum number of sailors required onboard including the marine engineers and deck cadets. Approximately 50% of students get placements within the boundaries of the campus premises.

Marine Engineering and Research Institue, IMU(Kolkata Campus).

Placements: Placements are still good if not the best as it used to be in times when the college was D.M.ET under Jadavpur University. Many Indian and foreign shipping companies like NYK, Fleet, Anglo Eastern, and Sci visit the campus every year to recruit almost 75-80% of the cadets every year. Rest 20-25% cadets are normally not eligible for sitting in placement interviews due to some supplementary or other issues. But overall the campus performs far better than its counterparts considering the current ma...

The course fee of B. Teach marine engineering is good as compare to private colleges.

Placements: 92-97% of our batchmates will placed till the course complete. The highest package of the placement is 14,400$ and the lowest package is 5200$. Chevron, Dyna gas, nyk shipping, feet management, and etc. This course offers a responsibility in early age where we should take the responsibility of ship.

Best placement it's literally have 100% placement, .

Placements: It's a paramilitary college, so your physical education and academics both are scared together, here I learned how to be a gentle, strong and how to face world outside. , it's central university run by imu, average students in per batch. Is around 250. And it reduce because many of the cadets left the studies in middle of the course completion due to their personal consequences like family problem and loan issues.

It is the best maritime institute in Asia and is the best in the world.

Placements: Placements are good. Due to the covid crisis, placements have been affected a lot, but the college seems to overcome very quickly. In the past few years, academics and placements were depreciating, but with the change in the director, now everything is in control and is doing very good. Opportunities are very good for female cadets.

It is good enough college.

Placements: The college is having a good number of placements than any other engineering college. The administration of the college invites numbers of companies for placements like anglo eastern, M.Sc. Nyk shipping industry and many other. If students here are sincere and are good in their academical issue then there is no problem of getting placements from this college.
