According to the official website of IMU - IMU Navi Mumbai Indian Maritime University, the B.Tech programme in Marine Engineering has an intake capacity of 40 students per year in each batch. The admission is based on the rank obtained in the IMU Common Entrance Test (IMU CET). The eligibility criteria for this programme are as follows:

  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th standard.
  • The candidate should be physically fit and meet the medical standards prescribed by the Director General of Shipping, Government of India.
  • The candidate should be between 17 and 25 years of age as on 1st August of the year of admission. There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 2 years for female candidates.
