Admission to IISC Bengaluru's BSc programme is subject to a valid score in KVPY/ IIT-JEE (Main) or (Advance)/ NEET/ IISER Aptitude test. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has released the JEE Main cutoff for admission to the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Research), a four- year full-time UG course. As per the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank stood at 903 for the students belonging to the General AI category. For other categories such as OBC, SC and ST, the JEE Main Round 1 closing ranks are 1665, 581 and 314 under the AI quota.

Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers a four-year Bachelor of Science (research) programme divided in eight semesters.
