Satisfied with the faculty members .

Placements: The campus has a well-functioning placement cell that assists students. Students are eligible to sit for placements in the last semester, given that they have completed the required number of credits. However, a unique point about the institute is that since it is a research-oriented institute, most students prefer to go for higher studies. Last year's data shows that only 6 students SAT for placements, out of which 5 were placed with an average package of 15 lacs per year. The remaining vast ma...

Satisfied with the campus life.

Placements: I do not have statistics about this. As per what I observed, I have seen ME students getting offers ranging from 12 to 24 lacs per annum. Being Ph.D. students from IISc, we generally do not look at campus placements. We look for postdoctoral fellowships abroad to get trained in arena, come back and try to give back to the nation what we can.

Overall, it is the best university in India.

Placements: A majority of students go for higher studies, and very few sit for placements. They grab very good placements. The highest package offered is 40 LPA in B.Sc. From this year onwards, the management is focusing on all aspects of jobs, internships, and co-curricular activities. Grabbing a job and an internship is really easy here, but most people don't go for it. The placement cell is the same for UG and PG courses. The best companies come here for PG students, so the same would replicate for the n...

No placements but fantastic research opportunities.

Placements: We don't have any direct placements from college for this course, because no one usually joins this course in hope of placements. All the students go for Masters course or some competitive exam like UPSC, banking, etc. However, we can ask any professor to join us for internships.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Nearly 95% of students got placed in reputed companies, and a major fraction of them easily went to foreign countries to carry out research and increasing scope of science. The average annual package offered for an M.Tech passed out is 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Infosys, Wipro etc. Students usually work in labs of IISc during summer and winter breaks. Since good quality research is done, there is usually no need to seek internships outside.

You will return with a lot of experience from the college.

Placements: The placement process for the year 2017 was remarkably good in comparison with the former years. It is true that most of the Master's student go for higher education, but there was a significant number of students from Masters and PhDs, who appeared for interviews and got placed on campus. The placement platform is common for all, which means that students from any department can apply for any company. Although the respective company shortlists the students according to the job description.
