Q:   Is it worth pursuing BBA at YMCA University?

    A:
    {Source: BBA students & alumni}

Here's what current students and alumni think:

    * Teaching Quality: The majority of students praise the teachers' qualifications, friendliness, and helpfulness. However, a few students mention that some teachers may not be very engaging.
    * Course Curriculum: Students agree that the course curriculum is relevant and helps prepare them for the industry. However, some students suggest that more emphasis could be placed on practical learning.
    * Placements: Unfortunately, students report that placements for BBA are limited, with only a handful of students getting hired each year. However, those who do secure jobs receive competitive salaries, ranging from INR2-INR7 Lacs per annum.
    * Internship Opportunities: While some students haven't participated in internships, others have reported positive experiences, particularly with companies like Amazon and Wipro.
    * Infrastructure and Facilities: Students appreciate the availability of Wi-Fi, computer labs, and libraries within the campus. Hostel facilities, while decent, require some improvement.
    * Festivals and Extracurricular Activities: Students enjoy attending events and participating in various clubs and organizations on campus.

In conclusion, while YMCA University may not excel in placements for BBA, the course curriculum is considered relevant, and the faculty is generally supportive. With dedication and hard work, students can still benefit from the program. However, prospective students should weigh the pros and cons carefully before making a decision.

Q:   How effective is the placement cell for BBA courses at YMCA University?

    A:
    {Source: BBA students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BBA Courses at YMCA University

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, here's what emerges:

    * Placement Opportunities: Many companies visit the college for interviews, and approximately 10-15% of students get placed.
    * Start-up Companies: Start-ups are more interested in recruiting students, offering lower packages initially.
    * Training and Placement Cell: There is a separate training and placement cell for students, which works towards improving placement opportunities despite the challenges posed by COVID-19.
    * Role Offers: Top role offers include marketing management or sales executive positions.
    * College Support: Teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and address students' doubts and queries. Feedback forms are circulated regularly to improve the course, curriculum, and faculty.
    * Industry-readiness: Projects, classroom opportunities, and live presentations enable students to become confident and industry-ready.

Overall, while the placement record may vary depending on individual performance, the placement cell at YMCA University appears to be active and supportive in providing students with opportunities to secure jobs. However, students need to prepare themselves adequately to take advantage of these opportunities.

The college is good enough; they conduct placements and take students for industrial visits.
Placements: 57% of students were placed in our course. Currently, the highest package is ₹6.30 LPA. Notable recruiters include Nokia, Learning Routes, Infosys, Hobit Technologies, Planet Spark, and more. 30% of students secured internships. Common roles include Business Development Counsellor and Business Development Executive.
Infrastructure: The college has computer labs, seminar halls, a library, and engineering labs. The food is nice, with a variety of options in Chinese, Italian, and Indian cuisines. The college conducts an annual fest, often featuring celebrities as guests, along with fresher events for newcomers and farewell parties for passouts.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and provide notes. Semester exams can be tough, but the notes provided by teachers are beneficial. Faculty support students with both theoretical and practical knowledge and conduct industrial trips for more hands-on experience.
Other: I chose this course because it offers a wide range of industries that I could serve. The college should also organize placements for accounting and finance roles. Students receive scholarships from the college. Events and fests are organized annually, sometimes featuring celebrities like Akhil, Jassi Gill, Babal Rai, Baadalshah, and various bands.

    Satisfied with the faculty members.
Placements: Currently I am in second year in my college and didn't sit for placement. But i hear from my senior that the placement is average. Many companies like Flipkart etc come and recruit students. Average package is 500000 and minimum package is 350000.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is big and good enough . Ground is big that students can play many games like badminton, crickets, basketball, volleyball etc. Wi-Fi for students is also available in college campus. AC facility is provide in every class.
Faculty: The faculty members are enough knowledge about the subject they teach . College also provide industrial visit for students. Semester exams are held after every six month. Before the semester exams the college take internal exams for the students to make them ready for semester exam.
Other: I chose the course because I want to enter the management field. The college organize the fest every year and the crowd of college is large.

It is an okay college and the location is good for correspondence courses.
Placements: A very low percentile of students from our course get placements that are too far from here in Gurgaon or such so some opt not to go. The highest package is 5 lacs, and the lowest is 3 lacs. Internships are offered to about 60% of the students. HR is the most common role offered .
Infrastructure: On average, every necessary thing is present, from labs to seminar halls and canteens but again, everything, including the library, is very average. The medical facilities are also okay; they offer to take you to the nearest Amrita hospital but you are not given attendance when something like this happens. Sports like basketball, football, badminton and sports rooms are present, including carrom, table tennis and more. It is also sufficient—nothing special.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are qualified; they are also very experienced and kind. Some are because they know how hard college life is. Yes, most of the course curriculum is relevant, about 70–75%. It includes courses like Advanced Excel, which somehow makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are provided by the university so it is pretty tough and definitely not easy. The passing percentage is 35/100, which is very low but some people still fail because, again, the exams are not easy.
Other: I chose this course because it is easier than the rest. It teaches me more in depth about business. Improvement should revolve around practical knowledge, not bookish knowledge. Events are also average tents placed in the ground near the stage. Crowding is also okay, not bad, in my opinion. Fest was horrible this year but last year was okay.

Anyone who is finding the college with a low fee range can definitely go for this.
Placements: Approximately 80% of students without any back were placed in our college. The highest package of our college is 15 LPA and the average is 3 LPA. Many companies are coming in our college, such as TCS, Amazon, etc. Approximately 60–70% students got internships from college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, and the labs and the classrooms are just normal; they provide fans, AC, and the whiteboards in the respective classrooms. Wi-Fi is also available in the whole college. Also, hostels are available in the decent price range. Food is provided in canteens of average quality.
Faculty: Teachers have average knowledge and experience; they are helpful in teaching. Their teaching style is just average. Industry visits are also available at this college. In every semester they take 2 college exams and one final university exam, so the students can't feel any pressure.

College is average. I will recommend it if you don't have enough money and want to graduate.
Placements: Currently, I'm pursuing a BBA. So I didn't sit on placement as I am in my 2nd year. But I hear from my seniors that the college didn't provide a good placement for BBA students. For other courses, there were good placements. The average package for BBA is nearly 350000, the minimum is 200000 and the maximum is 400000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The college grounds are big enough and library have sufficient space to sit. The college provides its own Wi-Fi inside the campus, whose speed is good. Hostel food is average. Someone can eat it without hating it. Various types of games and sports are available in the college for students like badminton, cricket, carrom, table tennis, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are well educated and have enough knowledge about what they are teaching. There were 2 internal exams, head by head, each worth 50 marks. But the final exam, i.e., the semester exam, is not as easy as what they give you in internal exams. So one should work hard for their semester exams.
Other: Fest occurs once per year in the month of February. Various other activities and events are organised by the college. So that students can take part in any of the activities they like.

    Good college but bad faculty.
Placements: The BBA course has good placement as compared to any other bachelor program. The companies offer a high package of 12 LPA, and BYJU's offered a whopping package of 24 LPA for students involved in any club leadership and have internship experience. It is easy to grab a good package.
Infrastructure: The hostel has every facility, and most of the time, the hostel mess is open. They even have a night kitchen in which hostel students can cook their own meal at night. The course area is quite well-developed and has seminars and webinars organized all year round.
Faculty: The faculty is very bad; that is the negative point of this college. Most of them are just retarded and don't even listen to you. They believe they are always right. The curriculum is also outdated, but they organize industrial visits that are good for development and placement.
