    The college has really good infrastructure and facilities.
    Placements: Placements for the outgoing batch were as expected, and most of the students got placed in reputed organisations. Around 80% to 90% of the students get placed every year, and the salary packages offered range from Rs. 25,000 per month to Rs. 60,000 per month. Companies like Maruti, Amazon, Expedia, and Jaagran were among many others that came to recruit. Roles offered consisted of all the sectors in human resource management like recruitment profile, training and development, and employee engagement, etc. Internships are a must for every student during the course, and every student is placed for an internship by the department itself. The highest stipend offered was Rs. 10,000 per month and few internships didn't offer any stipend. The placement cell takes care of all the placement related activities.
    Infrastructure: Being a central university, the facilities provided here are above par. Wi-Fi, labs, and conference rooms are provided and are regularly used for conferences, seminars, or the skill lab sessions. A university hospital named Ansari health centre is provided to all the students enrolled in the university. The quality of food is also good as there are a number of canteens available in the university. The hostel is also available at a low fee and is worth staying with good and clean food. Gym facility to the hostel students and a very huge sports complex are among the various facilities provided by the college.
    Faculty: The teachers in our department are very helpful as they are readily available inside and outside the college. Most of them are professors while some are associate professors and a few are guest faculty members. Students are required to visit two industries (Mother Dairy and Thomson Press) in the very first semester to attain an idea of the working of an organisation.

    A:
    {Source: M.Com students & alumni}

    Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) - Is it Good for M.Com?

    Based on reviews from current students and alumni, here's what they say:

    * Placement Record: While the college claims to have a good placement record, the reality seems to be different. According to students, only about 20% of students get placed, with the highest package offered being INR5.5 LPA.
    * Recruiters: Companies like Samsung, Kotak Mahindra, DMI Housing Finance, and Acxiom visit the campus for placements, but the number of recruiters is relatively small.
    * Course Curriculum: The M.Com course is well-structured and covers finance, accounting, and purchasing, making students industry-ready.
    * Teaching Quality: Some students feel that the teaching quality could improve, while others appreciate the support and guidance received from faculty members.
    * Infrastructure: The college has a beautiful campus with modern infrastructure, including a large library, laboratories, and a sports complex.
    * Scholarships: JMI offers scholarships to deserving students, including the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

    In conclusion, while Jamia Millia Islamia has its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and course structure, the placement record for M.Com appears to be inconsistent. Prospective students should weigh these factors carefully before deciding whether JMI is the right fit for them.
