JNUEE/JNU CUET 2023 counselling session begins after the results for the university level exam is declared. For the academic session 2023-24, NTA is yet to release the counselling schedule for JNUEE exam. After approximately a month, the JNUEE results will be declared in the form of a merit list.
Note: No viva voce examination is held for admission to any programme except for MPhil and PhD courses. Candidates will be admitted on the basis of their performance in the JNUEE entrance exam.
JNUEE/JNU CUET 2023 Counselling Process
- The JNU counselling process will commence when the university releases the pre-enrolment form after the JNUEE 2023 results have been declared.
- Once the merit form has been released by the university, candidates who qualify will have to download the pre-enrolment admission form which will be released online on the official website of the university.
- As the university offers various courses, the registration dates will be different for different courses.
- Students can apply for admission according to the rank obtained in the JNUEET 2023 entrance exam.

JNU Selection Process
- The JNU prepares a separate list for candidates belonging to General category, SCs, STs, OBC Category, EWS category and PWD category and also in respect of foreign nationals for each programme of study. Foreign students will be offered seats only if any seats are left vacant in any course after being offered to Indian candidates who have appeared in JNUEE 2023.
- The final selection of candidates for admission to various programmes is made on the basis of inter-se merit of candidates in their respective categories based on their performance in the JNUEE and viva voce (MPhil & PhD).
- Candidates selected by the university are required to block their seats through online mode within the provided time period permitted by the Admission branch after payment of the requisite fee and uploading of the required documents.
- No candidate is eligible for admission unless he/she secures a minimum overall score as given in the table below:
