Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.E. / B.Tech students at Lingayas Vidyapeeth?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Success Rate of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Students

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, the placement cell of Lingayas Vidyapeeth appears to have a moderate success rate in securing jobs for B.E./B.Tech students. Here are some key findings:

* Good performance: According to several students, the college provides companies for placements, and every year, companies visit the college to select good students. For instance, Infosys and L&T visited the college last year to recruit mechanical engineering students.
* Placement frequency: While some students mentioned that the college conducts placements every year, others noted that the number of placement drives may vary (e.g., "only 4-5 placement drives" per year).
* Qualification requirements: Most students agreed that minimum 75% academic marks are necessary for eligibility to participate in placements.

Overall, the placement cell seems to be performing reasonably well, although some students expressed concerns about the limited number of placement opportunities. To improve its performance, the college could consider increasing the number of recruitment drives and enhancing its relationships with potential employers.

Lingayas vidyapeeth - The best private college in Faridabad.
Placements: Our college is providing average placement. The highest package offered this year was 32 LPA and the average was 8 LPA and the top recruitment company was TCS and a total of 60% of students got internships from our course with companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Oracle and 10% got placed.
Infrastructure: In our department, there are plenty of labs and even a digital library is available in our block and the infrastructure is average, not so good, not so bad and the building is also average. The problem is there is no Wi-Fi in our college, even not in the computer block.
Faculty: Faculty are so cooperative and overall the experience with faculty is good so far. The course curriculum is so relevant to the course. The semester exams are average, not hard, not so easy and teachers are so helpful and the passing percentage is about 85%.
Other: In this college, so many events take place and the seniors here are superb.

Best college in Faridabad.
Placements: Like all other private colleges, it also has a decent package of 7 to 8 lakh and provides on-campus placements with internship opportunities. If students work hard, they can secure a good package, making the college less significant.
Infrastructure: It offers a variety of courses, and the hostel is decent. The infrastructure is impressive, spread over 40 acres of land, with separate blocks for each course, along with dedicated playgrounds for sports, a park, a canteen, and ample parking.
Faculty: The faculty is very supportive, unlike faculty at many other colleges and universities that may not engage with students. The curriculum is impressive, offering a range of courses, and the exams are manageable.

Lingayas Vidyapeeth- value for money.
Placements: 30% of students were placed from my course at campus placements, with the highest package being 13 LPA and the average being 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are IBM and Wipro. Over 60% of students got internships with stipends, and some were unpaid too. Top roles were web developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our department is quite nice. We have a lot of labs. The library of the university is very big, having more than 125,000 accessible books. The quality of food in the canteen is nice, but in the mess, the food is average. The hostel is neat and clean, having all basic requirements.
Faculty: Most of the teachers have completed their Ph.D. and are well-trained and knowledgeable. All the classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors. The course curriculum is relevant. Seminars and hackathons are conducted to make students industry-ready and boost their confidence. Exams are conducted every 3 months, i.e., two times in a semester, and are quite average. The pass percentage is 70%.
Other: I chose this course as I was interested in this field. Every year, the annual cultural fest "ZEST" takes place in October and is for 2 days. I got a 40% scholarship on tuition fees for the first year as I scored 80% marks in the CBSE board exam. The crowd is quite average.

Great infrastructure, facilities, great view and good placement opportunities.
Placements: The placement percentage in our course is quite high, as it is in a technology-derived era. The highest package offered was 5–10 lacs, and the lowest was 3–4 lacs. Top recruiting companies are TCS, IBM, Shree Ram Pvt. Ltd., Escorts, etc. Various roles are offered, such as penetration tester, web developer, software developer, etc.
Infrastructure: They provide great infrastructure and many facilities, such gym, canteen, medical room, music room, etc. The whole campus is covered with Wi-Fi and the lab is equipped with the latest technology. There is a massive library that contains almost all types of books and is air-conditioned.
Faculty: Teachers are always helpful and they are qualified; most teachers are Ph.D. The course curriculum is updated every year, which makes it up-to-date and industry-ready. Semester exams are easy as they make you prepare for them. The passing percentage of students is above 80%.
Other: The crowd is good, as mostly students are near sectors and cities. Connectivity is also good, as city buses run through the college route and there is a metro nearby. Scholarships are provided through the exam conducted by them. There are always events coming around the year and college fests are also good as they invite many celebrities.
