A: 

No, direct admission to a four-year B.Tech course at MIT-WPU is not possible. For admission to B.Tech course, MIT-WPU accepts a valid score of various state/ national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main/ MHT CET/ PERA CET/ MHT CET B/ NEET UG. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must appear and qualify for the respective entrance exams. However, direct admission is valid for BTech (Lateral Entry) course, where students are offered direct admission to the second year of B.Tech via merit scores obtained in Class 12. 

Q:   Is MIT-WPU good for placements?

A: 

MIT-WPU offers good annual placements for various courses like B.Tech, MCA, B.Des and M.Sc, etc. As per the latest report, the highest package offered during MIT-WPU placements 2023 stood at INR 51.36 LPA. Q:   What is the eligibility criteria to apply for BTech course at MIT-WPU?

A: 

For admission to a four-year BTech course at MIT-WPU, aspirants are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as per the university's norms. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must pass Class 12 with minimum of 50-60% aggregate. They must have studied Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and Chemistry/ Technical Vocational/ Biotechnology* as optional subjects.

For candidates belonging to differently-abled categories, backward categories and Maharashtra-state, there is a reduction of five percent. These candidates are required to obtain minimum of 45-55% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of Class 12 in the same subjects as of all.

*This subject is only required for BTech in Bioengineering course.

Q:   Are CAT cut offs announced along with the CAT result?

A: 
CAT cut offs are not announced along with the CAT result. The cut offs also not released publicaly. They are known after a few days of result announcement when the IIMs and other colleges start their shortlisting process. The IIMs will open shortlist window basis the CAT cut offs two to three days after the result announcement. The CAT percentile of candidates shortlisted for Written Ability Test (What), Group Discussion GD and Personal Interview, PI can be considered the cut off for that IIM. For example, if a candidate with CAT percentile of 99 belonging from General category is selected for the What/GD-PI of IIM Calcutta, then the CAT cut off for IIM Calcutta is 99 percentile. Only those candidates who will make it to the What/GD-PI round of IIMs will get to know the cut offs.

For better opportunities in the future, it is very helpful.
Placements: In MIT for the B.Com course, the fee is 80,000, and the average percentage of students placed is 72%. There is a high chance to get an internship. The average package for B.Com is 10 to 15 Lacs, and the chances of placement will be high. By pursuing a degree from MIT, good companies will approach you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and faculty members are very good. There are different courses, and placement is also better. The classrooms are high-class with smart boards, and the library is where you can do self-study. The faculty members are good. There is an MIT hostel, which has a fee of 240,000 per year. Sports events will be organized by the college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They are highly qualified and have many years of experience in teaching. The curriculum for each course is very good and helpful. The exam levels are moderate. There will be 8 exams conducted in each semester, including assignments, viva, and written exams.
Other: I chose this course because MIT is the second-best college in Pune. Studying at MIT will provide better opportunities in the future, and it will be very helpful. There will be proper events and scholarship exams also conducted.

Satisfied with the college.
Placements: There is 100% placement assistance in our college. The highest package offered in our course is 11.45 lakhs. I am studying B.Com with ACCA course there. ACCA is an international course that focuses on accounting and finance. The average package offered is between 7-8 lakhs.
Infrastructure: Maharashtra Institute of Technology-World Peace University is known for the best infrastructure in Pune. It has free Wi-Fi for students and staff. There is a girls' hostel available on campus, and the quality of food and medical facilities is good there.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good here. Each classroom has an electronic board. The semester exams are not that difficult for those who have studied. According to me, it is easy to pass semester-end exams.
Other: I chose this course (ACCA) because it is an international course based in the UK. This course focuses on international accounting and finance.

All about the University structure of MIT.
Placements: 100% students get paced if they don't have any backlog and are not in the defaulters list during the graduation. The highest package offered is 110000 and the lowest is 500000. Berkeley’s is the top recruiter. The college provides training before the companies visit for interviews and also provides different courses for resume building.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available here including gym for the students. 24/7 wifi is provided and the food is good. Sports are also available including carrom and table tennis. Refrigerators are provided along with washing machines.
Faculty: The teachers are good and friendly with some of them being qualified CA's which helps me a lot as I am preparing for CA. In every semester, there are two exams held, internal assessment CCA 1 and CCA 2 comprising of 30 marks, a mid term of 30 marks and the remaining 40 marks are for the end term.

2020 got the best placements .
Placements: 90% students get placement if they take it seriously and sit for the companies. The highest package was 10 Lacs and the lowest 3.5 Lacs. MNC Companies come like EY Deloitte KPMG. Around 90% students get internship from college to companies like Cummins, Tenhard etc. Business analyst roles offered to mostly students .
Infrastructure: College gives access to labs Library Wi-Fi. Hostel rooms are quite comfortable with security and proper food in mess. The food reminds of home and its healthy and fresh. They provide you with good and big room. Library has all the books to refer you can sit and study.
Faculty: Teachers are sweet helpful and actually guides you for your future. Yes it makes us industry ready because it keeps workshops and help us understand the industry properly. They teach us so nicely that semester exams seems easy. 40% percent passing percentage.
Other: I chose B.Com because it gives exposure and you get to know yourself specially in which field you're good. I think it provides with everything I need to know in college life.

Our college had good placements in 2022.
Placements: Around 25% of students got placed from our college in many companies. Many companies visit our college to recruit students. The highest salary package offered is 5.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting company is Deutsche Bank.
Infrastructure: Our college provides many facilities like a canteen with a good seating capacity, proper parking space, computer labs, a library, a gym, a basketball ground, etc. The hostel is good. The canteen is available for hostel students also.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They always help us and solve our problems. They teach us very well. Exams are a little bit difficult. Students should study well to pass exams.
Other: I opted for this course because it has various career options, and I want to do a job in the bank.

The university also accepts various state and national-level entrance exams such as PERA CET, JEE Main, CAT, MAT, NEET UG, etc. Those who want to get admission to any of the UG and PG courses at MIT-WPU, must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place and then appear for the respective entrance exams.
