Founded in 2006 by an Act of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh, Mohammad Ali Jauhar University (MAJU) came into being via Section 2(F) of UGC Act, 1956. It is a private university located in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh that offers UG, PG and diploma and PG diploma programmes across multiple streams such as Engineering, Management, Law, Science, Arts, Education, Commerce & Accounting, Pharmacy and Mass Communication, among others. All these courses are offered by the 14 departments (faculties) under this University, which include:
Spread over 250 acre of lush green campus, the University is highly focused on the physical well-being of the students. For this purpose, it has a huge, well-equipped and hi-tech gymnasium with indoor gaming facilities, such as badminton, chess, carom, table tennis and outdoor sports facilities like football, hockey, cricket, lawn tennis, volleyball and horse riding. Other chief USPs of this University are listed below:

Mohammad Ali Jauhar University Admission Process
Mohammad Ali Jauhar University admission process takes place in both via online and offline modes. Aspirants can download the application form and prospectus from the official website or buy it offline from the admission cell on payment of the application fee via cash or DD. The University conducts an entrance exam for admission to a few courses and for the remaining courses, admission is subject to merit scores in the last qualifying exam. Course-wise admission process is as follows:
UG courses
- For admission to BTech and BPharma, candidates are required to appear for an entrance exam conducted by MAJU
- Admission to all the remaining UG courses, such as BA (Hons), BSc (Hons), BCA, BBA, BLib, BCom (Hons), etc. is subject to merit scores in Class 12
PG courses
- Candidates seeking admission to MTech, MCA, MBA, Master in Applied Management (Hospital Management) and B.Ed are required to have a valid score in the University-conducted entrance exam
- For the remaining PG programmes such as MCom, LLB, LLM, MSc and MPharma, admission is merit-based and is dependent on the scores obtained by students at UG level
Diploma & PG Diploma courses
- For all the diploma and PG diploma courses, admission at MAJU is subject to a valid score in Class 12 or Class 10 exam except for DPharma
- Final admission to DPharma is granted on the basis of a valid score in an entrance conducted by the university
