Nalanda University, offer Master of Arts courses in different specializations including M.A. in Historical Studies, M.A. in Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions, M.A. in Hindu Studies (Sanatana), and M.A. in World Literature. The duration of the course is two years. The total tuition fee for the INR 1.12Lacs (for 2 years).

Fee Structure:

Nalanda University offers Master of Arts courses in 4 different specializations includinf Master of Arts in Historical Studies, Master of Arts in Hindu Studies (Sanatana), Master of Arts in Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions, and Master of Arts in World Literature. The duration of the course is four years.

There is no direct admission to Nalanda University; instead, you must go via their admissions process. A bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 55% or more is required; additional criteria, such as job experience, may apply to certain programs. Tests such as the TOEFL or IELTS are also required to demonstrate your English skills, if necessary. You must fill out an online application, upload documents, pay a fee, and supply personal and academic information. Candidates that make the short list go through a selection procedure that may involve an interview and an evaluation of their academic standing. Because admission is competitive, fulfillment of the requirements does not ensure admission.

To get admission to the University, students first must have a minimum of 70 percentile in the XAT/MAT/CAT entrance test followed by selection for a Personal Interview. The average CAT score can be considered 198 to 180 for the MBA and the 90+ percentile in any of CAT and MAT can be considered good for admission to the top colleges. 

The placement record was very good. About 70% of students got jobs at different companies like Infosys, TCS, Samsung, Tata Motors, etc. The highest salary package offered was about 10 LPA to 12 LPA, and the average was about 6 LPA. Average students got internships from our course.

The first step in obtaining an MBA is fulfilling the prerequisites, which include a bachelor's degree (often with a 50–55 percent GPA) and any job experience or program-specific requirements. Next, ace entrance examinations like the MAT, CAT, or XAT, keeping in mind that the minimum percentile criteria for elite universities are frequently higher. Minimum MAT score for top-B schools is from 50-99%.

Merit-based and entrance exam criteria are used for admission to the MBA programme at Nalanda University. With a minimum score criterion, the university accepts results from accredited tests such as the CAT, XAT, MAT, and GMAT. But test results are not the only factor that determines admission. Academic achievement, a statement of purpose detailing your career ambitions, recommendation letters, and, if you are shortlisted, an interview, are all taken into consideration when evaluating your entire application. The ultimate decision takes into account your total score, guaranteeing a comprehensive assessment of both your personal qualities and intellectual ability. For an MBA application to be accepted by Nalanda University, you must concentrate on creating a comprehensive profile that showcases your communication abilities, professional goals, and outstanding academic record.

All Nalanda University MBA graduates found employment in 2022, demonstrating the demand for their skills among businesses. The highest wage that was given was INR 16 LPA, which is a respectable beginning pay. Students were hired by major corporations such as Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum, and they also performed well in summer internships. Following IT (20%), engineering (26%), business development (20%), and operations (20%) accounted for lesser percentages of total graduate employment.

The minimum criteria is 55% or 2.2/4.0 GPA or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) in Under Graduate Degree. Students from any stream i.e. Humanities/Sciences/Engineering/Management/Law etc. can apply for any program, however, students may not apply for more than two programs.
