Amazing faculty, the largest campus among all NITs, and really good placements are offered.
Placements: 86 percent of students were placed this year; the highest package was 12 Lacs per annum and the lowest was 3 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are We Construct, Larsen & Toubro, etc. The college also offers internship in the 8th semester to hone experience in the field and avail better placements .
Infrastructure: The department provides us with all the necessary practical labs, such as a climatology lab, IT lab, etc. The hostel is well facilitated with washrooms, good rooms, good mess service, a common room, a reading room, badminton, and a tennis lawn. There are also free medical facilities offered.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and experienced. The curriculum is designed to make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are of medium difficulty, and students generally pass the exams with good marks. The college offers good internships and placements .
Other: There is an annual fest called Hillffair which holds live concerts and a technical fest called nimbus which holds Hackathons, Robowars, etc. Apart from this, prom nights, DJ night and Bollywood nights are also held .

Good placements in 2023 at a beautiful college.
Placements: More than 95% of students were placed with an average package of 16 LPA in my branch, which is computer science and engineering, and more than 80% of students were placed with an average package of 9 LPA overall. The highest package was 1.73 crore, and the least package was 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college Wi-Fi is good, with an average speed of 200 MBPS. We will get LAN in the hostel with more than 100 MBPS speed. The quality of the food is not as good as it should be, but there are many canteens in college. There is a medical center in college and a big field for sports.
Faculty: The teachers here are supportive and helpful, with a lot of Ph.D. holders, but a little strict in attendance. First-year subjects are the same for all branches. Semi-final exams are not as hard if you study at least a week before the exams, and we will have two main exams every semester.
Other: Honestly, I chose this branch because of the placement opportunities in CSE. There will be two main festivals in college every year: a technical festival and a cultural festival.

Reality of NITH the barbaric faculty and the righteous student.
Placements: So basically, I'm an architecture student. I don't opt for placements, so I don't have much knowledge about them, but based on what I've heard from my friends pursuing B.Tech, it's not that great. Students don't secure excellent placements; it's just average, nothing remarkable.
Infrastructure: Numerous repairs and proper maintenance are required in hostels. Thorough supervision of the mess food is necessary, and there is an absence of adequate Wi-Fi service. Even the food available at the canteens is not good; it's horrible. The rules and regulations of the college and hostel go against students' rights.
Faculty: The faculty-student ratio is poor. The faculty members are inadequate, showing a lack of understanding and behaving in a barbaric manner. They enforce their own arbitrary rules without considering the students' consent, which violates students' rights, and there is no support for us in addressing this issue. While exams are acceptable, the college requires a student body capable of advocating for students' rights against such barbaric faculty actions.

Good campus, good faculty and somewhat okay placements.
Placements: Architecture placements are not that good in the college right now but we are hoping for them to get better soon. About 30% of students were placed in our course. The average package offered was 6LPA. We are trying to make things look better for architecture students of our college.
Infrastructure: This has to be the Most Beautiful Campus in India that any NIT has. Every block is well furnished and all the facilities are available that are needed by a student. The hostels are also good and mess food doesn't feel like mess. Food and everything is good.
Faculty: The teachers and professors are very knowledgeable. They guide us good and give good career advice after the course. The curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry read. Semester exams are somewhat okay. The pass percentage is same as defined by COA for students of architecture.

It's a good college; students can come here and get a good job with their degree.
Placements: The highest package in our course, according to what I hear, is INR 50 lacs, and in dual degree CSE, it's INR 2 crore. Amazon is a recruiting company for our course nowadays. A very few people got internships in this course last year (2nd year). Many students became specialists and problem solvers on CodeForce, CodeChef, and many more platforms. Software developer is the top role offered in B.Tech. CSE.
Infrastructure: The main problem here is water. Wi-Fi is sometimes not available. Classrooms and libraries are perfect, and Wi-Fi is present in classes with a good internet connection. The hostel provides sports facilities like football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, etc. The quality of food is good here as compared to other places.
Faculty: Teachers are so brilliant in their subjects and are very helpful. They teach in a nice way so that everyone can get the concepts. This course is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 40 percent now, and for mid-semester, they should have above 9 marks in 30; in end-semester, it should be 15 marks in 50. The exams are not very difficult.
Other: I chose my course because I want to be a software engineer. I like to code. Our course has some subjects that should be removed, and new subjects should be added that help students improve their skills. There are so many events taking place in our college; about 5–6 thousand students are learning here.

    Our college is the best.
Placements: Training opportunity for Architecture students is very good. Internship opportunities provided are very good. Students can join any firm to improve their skills. Placements are not good but you may get opportunities in the future.
Infrastructure: It is a beautiful college with the best infrastructure. Audio-Video classrooms are there for theoretical study and studios for sheet work. Library is the best with all sorts of books.
Faculty: Faculty is the best. Most of them are Ph.D. holders with much teaching experience of many years. The course is designed in a very systematic way which makes students ready for the future. To pass in academics is not very difficult.
