Placements: The college has tie-ups with various multinational companies like Google and Microsoft. Students need to secure at least 60% marks to be eligible for placements. The highest salary package offered by the institute is approximately 30-40 LPA. Students can easily afford the course at this college.
Infrastructure: College campus has a total of 15-16 hostels, with separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostels are assigned based on seniority, i.e., first-year students are allocated different hostels, and the same for second, third, and fourth-year students.
Faculty: All the faculty members are highly knowledgeable and well-qualified. They hold Ph.D. degrees in engineering and technology. Curriculum is based on a semester-wise system, and students are required to pass each semester exams and secure the necessary credits.
Other: There are various groups and clans on the college campus which are run by the students. The primary motto of these groups is to connect students from different regions, religions, and castes.

Overall, it has excellent infrastructure with good UG placements and less frequent local transport.
Placements: Until now, none of the students got placed in our course. Companies are not recruiting students due to Covid-19. The highest salary package offered was 14.5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 4.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 5 LPA. Top recruiters for our course are L&T and Qualcomm. Around 10-20% of the students got internships from our course in Amazon. Roles offered by companies in our course are a design engineer trainee, software developer and executive trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of NIT Hamirpur is not comparable with any other college in India as it is an amazing and also 2nd most beautiful campus. The library and reading room have a good area to accommodate students. Blowers and air-conditioners are also provided here. Jio Wi-Fi speed is good, but there is a sign-in problem with phone numbers. There is a limitation of 1 GB of data per day for students. Hostels have a LAN facility, which has excellent speed. Labs are equipped with all experimental set-ups and the latest machinery. The food available here is good as per time, and the food includes vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian. They serve seasonal fruits also to us. The infrastructure for both indoor games and outdoor sports is well-developed in every hostel. A gymnasium is also available in many hostels. There are 2 food courts, which are operated by NIT. There are many stalls like Amul, Nestle and Verka. There is a medical centre for a healthy lifestyle of students and staff members.
Faculty: Most of the teachers here are well-qualified and experienced. They have deep knowledge about the respective courses, and they are from IITs, NITs and IISC. All the faculty members are punctual in time for their lectures. The course curriculum includes more theory than practicals. But it is gradually updating with more practical things to make every student industry-ready.
Other: I am research-oriented, so I have chosen M.Tech in NIT Hamirpur through GATE counselling. I also got a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month from the Ministry of Education for pursuing this course. Our college organises a sports fest named Lalkar, a technical fest named Nimbus and a cultural fest named Hill Fair. All these three fests are most amazingly organised by volunteers. The connectivity through the train is available from Una, which is 67 km away from Hamirpur. Airway connectivity is available from Gaggal Kangra airport, which is also 70 km away from Hamirpur.

NIT Hamirpur - Engineering in the Himalayas.
Placements: Around 10 percent of students were placed in M. Tech in water resources engineering. The highest package offered was 8 LPA, and the lowest was 6.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T and Aditya Birla. 100 percent of students got internships in my course in government. Companies like NHAI and SJVN.
Infrastructure: My college offers great facilities like Wi-Fi in every hostel, library, and lecture halls and also the department buildings, which are well maintained, with modern infrastructure and new facilities being added each year. The food offered in the mess is good, and the menu is decided by the students themselves. Each hostel offers sports facilities like badminton, table tennis, and also a gym.
Faculty: The faculty is great with highly qualified individuals, who are mostly helpful. The teaching quality may suffer a little bit due to the busy schedule of the teachers, but it's better than what most of the other colleges offer. The course curriculum does need an upgrade to match the present needs of the industry. The semester exams are of medium difficulty, and around 95-98 percent of students pass.
Other: I chose this course because it will help me in becoming a professor one day. My college is really beautiful, as I've also done my B. Tech. From here, I can't get enough of it. I want my course to make me more industry-ready if I want to take a placement someday. The college has one major fest each semester with several small events continuing to take place throughout the year. The campus is beautiful with lush green forest areas surrounding the buildings, with a big playground.

The campus environment is outstanding for studies.
Placements: Only 11 students are there, but most of them opt for higher education. So, there are campus placements. Some of the recruiters came for the field of sales and construction, but that is irrelevant to the water resource department. So, it is not advisable if you are looking for placements.
Infrastructure: The facilities like hostel, food, medical facilities, sports, Wi-Fi and LAN are outstanding. Quality food is provided, and a variety of food is something you can see in the hostel. According to me, the food is very good.
Faculty: The teachers have in-depth knowledge of the course, and their teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum should be better. It doesn't influence the industry, but it can influence the field of research. It is better to go for higher education rather than campus placements.
Other: Freedom of doing what you want is the best thing in the college. The location of the college is outstanding.

The location at which the campus is situated is just worth experiencing.
Placements: Out of 17, almost 10 got placed and the others are willing to opt for Ph.D. for their further continuation of studies. Average package is around 7 LPA. Companies like Jugnoo, BEL have recruited from our course. Network Engineer Software developer, Data Analyst are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: The labs in the computer centre had a good internet connection and we were allowed to use it at any time. Hostels, to be frank, were a little congested as 3 persons have to share a room but not all of the rooms were like this. Sports facilities on the campus are nice and most of the mainstream sports facilities are being provided in the college.
Faculty: In Masters, we are supposed to have a very good bonding with my supervisor so I can't tell about the details of other teachers. Mine was very educated helpful and fun to work with at the same time. The course curriculum is a little bit outdated.
Other: I wanted to pursue my M.Tech from a well-established institute. NIT Hamirpur has been a party place due to its climate which is in the foothills of Himalayas. Hence this place is quite cold as well as not extremely cold which makes life In this campus well suited for study and enjoy at the same time.

It has the best infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: I am currently pursuing M.Tech and will pass out in the year 2020. Almost 50% of students in our course already got placed. The maximum salary package offered is 20 LPA, and the minimum salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Signalchip and L&T visited our campus for core branches placements. They have recruited many students based on their knowledge.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Wi-Fi facility is available for the students. The college provides various labs with all good instruments. Every classroom is air-conditioned. Quality of food served is average, and canteen is available and open until midnight during the exam. Medical facilities are good, and there are different type of specialist. For sports, it is a good college.
Faculty: All faculty members in our college are well-qualified. They have excellent knowledge of their respective subjects. The course curriculum is very interesting, relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. It makes students learn everything about it.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in it. The best thing about our course is there is a vast area for further research. The college has a lack of core labs and instruments working on it. The college conducts conferences and events frequently. Two events named summer and winter are organised to conduct extracurricular activities.
