B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.6
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
All good but water scarcity is there.
Placements: 64.2% of the batch is placed in civil engineering, as civil engineering is less valuable without a master's degree. The highest salary this year is 9.50 LPA, and the median is 8.25 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Larsen & Toubro and Capgemini. I am not aware of the percentage of students who got internships in civil engineering.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average due to water scarcity in the hostel. A huge library is provided, with big classrooms and average meals in the mess. There are 5-6 canteens at different locations on campus. A hospital inside the campus provides free care. There is a huge ground and a Student Activity Centre for physical activities.
Faculty: The faculty is moderate. The course is relevant, but mechanical workshops are the only technical aspect. Teachers are highly qualified, helpful, and interactive with students. They are always ready to address students' doubts and help them. The passing marks for the end-of-semester exam are a minimum of 15 out of 50, and a total of 40 marks out of 100 are needed to pass the course.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2028

Overall I can proudly say that I am in a good and prestigious college.
Placements: The placement rate is approximately 80%. The maximum package is about 20 LPA in Civil Engineering. In my opinion, my branch and seniors are good.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, library, lecture halls, administrative block, central block, cafes, food points—the overall infrastructure is awesome. As we can see on Google, our college is the 2nd most beautiful engineering college in India after NIT Srinagar. It is totally naturally vegetated.
Faculty: The faculty, staff, curriculum, and the most non-debatable topic, examinations, are good in our college. Currently, only mid-semester examinations have been conducted. Those exams were conducted strictly and formally for all NIT students. But I did not do my best.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2028
2.6

Good environment overall, but the hostels are of very bad quality, with several water problems.
Placements: Around 76 students are in my batch. The highest package for chemical engineering last year (2023) was 52 lakh, while the lowest is not specified. The top recruiter was HUL (Hindustan Unilever), and a total of 100% of students got placed last year, with an average package of around 10 lakh.
Infrastructure: Most of the faculty is knowledgeable and good, but some teachers are quite rude and misbehave. Certain lectures can be hard to understand because of the teachers' accents. They also frequently remind us that we are beneath them, which I feel is inappropriate when addressing freshers.
Faculty: Some teachers have very good knowledge and behavior, while others are rude and misbehave. They try to portray themselves as superior while ensuring that even the slightest mistakes are pointed out at every opportunity.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2026
4.6

Beautiful campus, decent placements, good campus life.
Placements: 70-80% placements in the Civil Engineering branch. Many companies, including L&T, visit the campus. The average package in Civil Engineering is 6.5 LPA, with the highest package around 11 LPA. Companies that come for internships include the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), which offers an internship stipend of around 15,000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Hostels also have good infrastructure. The quality of food is decent. Wi-Fi facility is available on campus as well as in the hostels, and some of the hostels have LAN facilities. The institute has a really good library, which is an excellent source for studying during exam times. There is a student activity center that has a gym, karate hall, indoor basketball court, badminton courts, snooker and pool tables, and table tennis. The institute also has a large stadium for outdoor sports such as cricket and football. The institute has a lawn tennis court and a health center with an ambulance facility.
Faculty: There are two exams: mid-semester and end-semester in one semester. Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is good. Semester exams are a bit on the tougher side. The passing percentage depends on faculty members and their marking. Teachers in the college are helpful. The teaching quality at the institute is on the average side.
Other: There are two fests in the college: one is Hilfair, the cultural fest, and the other is Nimbus, the tech fest. Many bands, including Nalayak and Local Train, have performed on the campus.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2026
4.2
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Faculty are good but some are very rude.
Placements: Nearly above 75-85 students get placed. Others go for higher studies and government jobs like PSUs through GATE. The average package is around 12 LPA. I am in the 3rd year, and one month back, a company named Accenture came to campus to provide us with internships and placements for the 4th year. I don't know about the final year, but I saw the result that 12 students for internships and 23 for placements got selected.
Infrastructure: As it is an NIT, the infrastructure could be good, but it's average. I am in the 3rd year, staying in Neelkanth Boys Hostel. It has its own night canteen in the hostel, open between 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., and things are very cheap, like a mix paratha for 15 rupees. New Wi-Fi routers were installed but not opened, even after four months have gone by.
Faculty: The teachers are good and have a minimum of a Ph.D. degree. Some of the teachers are very supportive. The exam level in electrical engineering is a little bit hard, and then marking is also hard, so you have to work hard to get a good CGPA. The pass percentage is sometimes like 25-40 students failing in difficult subjects like electrical machines and power systems. But some subjects have a 100% pass percentage.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because of the first cutoff. But later I realized it was a good decision. Electrical engineers can enter both teaching and core jobs easily, and jobs are available in PSUs, government jobs, or in IT hub companies.

Overall the college is good with good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement are on an average of 10 to 11 LPA, including all branch wise. At top, in terms of placement is CSE, after that is ECE, electrical, mechanical and then chemical. One more thing placement depends on you, how you improve yourself here.
Infrastructure: Campus wise the college is good but you have some restrictions in beginning of 1st year but overall it is good to take admission. There is no issue regarding mess food. It is decent as expected but the infrastructure is awesome. It is surrounded by mountains and trees.
Faculty: You will have a little bit academic pressure but the faculty is awesome. The teachers are highly knowledgeable, you won't have any issue regarding studies. There is a library too in which there are a lot of books. There is a study room also in campus, you will feel free to study.
