My point of view of my college.
Placements: The placement opportunities at NIT Durgapur are highly commendable, as the institution actively trains and encourages students to engage in internships and placements. The eligibility for internships begins in the third year, while placements commence in the final year. Additionally, pre-placement offers are also provided to students who successfully complete internships during their third year.
Infrastructure: The campus exudes vitality, spanning across a vast 200-acre area adorned with abundant greenery and housing 14 hostels for student accommodation. The introduction of a new research building elevates the visual charm of the campus. Diverse festivals, such as a food fest, technical fest, and cultural fest, add to the vibrancy. However, it is worth noting that the library provides a limited range of resources. On the other hand, the classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Additionally, extracurricular activities and student-led clubs contribute to the enrichment of campus life.
Faculty: The curriculum of the course is meticulously crafted to provide a harmonious blend of difficulty throughout the semester. Although certain semesters may present greater challenges than others, it maintains a manageable level of academic pressure. The faculty members are exceptionally skilled and proficient in their respective domains, although their teaching approaches may differ, resulting in variations in class participation. With a faculty to student ratio of 1:0, individualized attention is guaranteed.
Other: To secure admission to NIT Durgapur, candidates must meet the required percentile cutoff and qualify for the JEE Main exam. It is important to note that category-wise cutoffs are applicable, and candidates must also meet the general cutoff in order to secure a seat.
