College has one of the most picturesque campuses in India and an amazing infrastructure which is currently expanding. It has fine library and hostels and other facilities though there was a problem of internet facility for first two years. Campus being isolated faces lack of industry exposure and availability of other resources which might have been available in cities. One have to face administrative lag and resistance in getting something done, meaning one has to take dozens of permissions fo...

It is the second most beautiful campus in India situated in Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh. It has good labs, especially for the civil engineering mechanical engineering and electronics engineering branches. It also has good teaching quality, and the most important is that the placement record is also good for core branches such as CE,ME,EEE,ECE,etc,. The highest package for CS branch in the year 2014 is 16 LPA and in 2015 it is 17.5 LPA. For core branches highest package is 8.5 LPA in the year 2015...

As far as civil engineering at NITH is concerned, it’s good. Teachers are good, facilities are excellent, you will get here lot more learning opportunities. Placement records are good for civil engineers and they are getting better year by year. Apart from civil engineering other branches are also good, particularly ECE. Placement records are very good for ECE and computer science. Even government companies do visit the college campus for recruitments.

It's a good college for engineering courses. It's a college of national importance. Placements are good here. Food quality of mess at respective hostels are good. It has a wonderful garden at the front of college main building. Climate is cool here. College life is really good, one has enough time to spend time in studies as well as other activities. What I feel is that there is a lack of awareness about the college in all over India.

It is a superb college, no excess pressure on studies. And it provides good financial support if you want to pursue any projects. As a student you will feel very comfortable with teachers. Apart from studies you can go for many short trips during your academic session it is really enjoyable place for any weather. Once you have completed M.Tech you need to concentrate on the teaching job by your own. Mainly students from EC branch please don't expect to get placed in any university but for civil ...

I joined college 3 years ago. I was expecting lot from my college as it was considered as one of premier institute in the country as it was NIT. But it is not one as I hoped. This college do not get much placement package as we think. Faculty is not so good as on hoped. Campus is pretty nice bur we do not have much equipment’s in labs. We have to do practicals in group.

The college has huge infrastructure and facilities. Everything is latest and up to date. Some faculty are brilliant but most of them are on the average side. The main drawback of college is the casual attitude of the heads of the institute. Hostels are well maintained and other facilities like canteens , open air theatre , playground etc are well maintained and well furnished. Institute has an average placements record. I studied Masters in Transportation Systems Engineering which is offered und...

If you want to visit a college in a place feeling like Heaven, then NIT Hamirpur is the place. You won’t get the scenic beauty along with the best teaching facilities anywhere in India. National Institute of Technology Hamirpur is one of the twenty NITs of the country, established in 1986 as Regional Engineering College, as a joint and cooperative enterprise of the Govt. of India and Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. Here, academics are taken very seriously and you won’t find a single working day going...

Awesome infrastructure. Unsatisfactory teaching standards. Due to remote location, accessibility is an issue for companies giving in-campus job offers. Core placement is almost zero in Electronics. Overall average placements. Institute being located in a tiny town, students have very limited resources, impossible to get hardware components for circuit projects. No industry and research exposure. Excellent hostel accommodation facility. Lush green campus located amidst Himalayas.

It's a beautiful college, situated in the Himalayas. Classes are interactive, and practical aspects of engineering are inculcated in students. Two major fest are held in collage namely: Hill fair (cultural) and nimbus (tech). There are lot of activities that help your overall personality development. Sports facilities are awesome. Over and all it would be not just engineering but also an unforgettable phase of your life.

Best location, low fees, handsome salaries and very good infrastructure and facilities. The faculty was very nice and the best part in it was that it has a mixture of best talents of the country. It was a very nice experience. The labs were well established. The placement officer managed to get very good companies to the campus. Even during recession, the placements were not that bad.

NIT, Hamirpur is one of the most beautiful colleges in country. One word it’s a paradise in lap of Himalayas. Having awesome infrastructure and excellent faculty members makes it a perfect place for engineering. Here professors are passionate about teaching. College is known for zero tolerance for ragging, seniors are very helpful, cultural & technical events all around the year makes college life full of excitement. Department wise it’s very good for computer science and civil engineering.

Campus life is great but placements are not good. Scenic beauty is the best here. Lot of places to roam around. Can go Manali or Dharamshala or Shimla to have fun. Faculty members are good but not best and infrastructure is too good. Some time back it was one of the emerging colleges in India but it has declined in foregoing years.

It is situated in the green hills of Hamirpur. A very beautiful college with an intelligent faculty. The college has an outstanding performance and result in each & everything, except in two things: - 1. Exposure is not good, as it is too far from any metro city like Chandigarh, Jalandhar & Delhi as you need to go there only to purchase anything for your projects, to attend exhibitions, workshops etc. 2. Placement: It’s unpredictable to comment. Sometimes, it goes up & sometimes it goes poor. Ov...

NIT Hamirpur (NITH) has been judged ‘the best NIT’ in terms of the infrastructure. It is among the top NITs in the country, consistently ranking among the top 50 govt. engineering colleges in India. It was ranked 23 by Outlook Survey in 2013. Spending 4 years at NITH, amidst the nature's lap, was a wonderful experience on its own. Apart from the picturesque scenic beauty, the placement of the college is consistent and maintained up to the mark as every year more than 50+ companies visit the camp...

I pursued B.Tech in ECE from this college. Campus is awesome. Teachers are on an average, some are really good and some are really bad. Attendance is regulated strictly. Placements are 100% but recruiters differ from branch to branch. For civil, electrical and mechanical branches many PSUs visit the campus but for ECE and CSE only a few of them come. A few good private companies also visit here. Ragging is uncommon here. You get scholarships easily. If you study hard and are successful in scorin...
