Good environment overall, but the hostels are of very bad quality, with several water problems.

Placements: Around 76 students are in my batch. The highest package for chemical engineering last year (2023) was 52 lakh, while the lowest is not specified. The top recruiter was HUL (Hindustan Unilever), and a total of 100% of students got placed last year, with an average package of around 10 lakh.

Overall the college is good with good infrastructure.

Placements: The placement are on an average of 10 to 11 LPA, including all branch wise. At top, in terms of placement is CSE, after that is ECE, electrical, mechanical and then chemical. One more thing placement depends on you, how you improve yourself here.

Reality of NITH the barbaric faculty and the righteous student.

Placements: So basically, I'm an architecture student. I don't opt for placements, so I don't have much knowledge about them, but based on what I've heard from my friends pursuing B.Tech, it's not that great. Students don't secure excellent placements; it's just average, nothing remarkable.

Review of NIT Hamirpur - National Institute of Technology.

Placements: The placement scenario experienced a decline but is now gradually picking up pace. Almost 100% of students get placed every year in our college. Top recruiting companies are Natwest and Trilogy. The OAS is conducted offline and online. Top roles offered are SDE and data analytics.

NIT Hamirpur is not a very good college.

Placements: Though placements in core branches like electrical, mechanical, and civil are not that great, one can expect a salary package of 5 LPA - 8 LPA. For computer science, the salary package is very good. Our senior got a package of 1 CPA. The ECE branch is also good. Companies like Samsung, Amazon, Flipkart, and Oracle come here for recruitment.

Review of NIT Hamirpur - National Institute of Technology.

Placements: Almost 89.29% of students got placed in the year 2021-22 from the electrical engineering branch. The highest salary package offered was 17.8 LPA. Companies do not visit our campus for internships, and our college location makes it difficult for recruiters.

The college has good infrastructure and the faculty members are also helpful.

Placements: Good placements and internship opportunities. Several students from the computer Science department have bagged above 1 crore packages. But pure core departments the mean placements is around 6 LPA. The internship opportunities are also increasing and would increase in the upcoming years.

From the computer science branch, this year, around 95% of the students were placed.

Placements: The placement process at NIT Hamirpur includes five steps. Firstly, NIT Hamirpur invites companies to the campus for placement drives. Then companies share the JNF form to fill, and then NIT Hamirpur shares the database of students as per the requirements. Then companies visit the campus for the recruitment drives. The highest salary package offered in NIT Hamirpur has increased to 62.5 LPA for a computer science and engineering student. The average salary package offered in the 2017-2018 year w...

The on-campus placements need improvement.

Placements: Only a few good companies visit for on-campus placements like Amazon, Byju's, Adobe but companies like Goldman Sachs, Microsoft do not visit the campus. The average package is around 6 Lacs but many people also apply for off-campus and get a nice package.

It is an average college, but there are good placements.

Placements: Placements here are good, and they are improving day by day. Official stats have been mention on the college website. The average salary package offered for our branch is about 8 LPA, but in computer science, it does not depend on college and mostly depends on how you make yourself skilful enough. Many companies visit the campus for placements.

It's not good for students to opt for the chemical engineering branch here.

Placements: Placements for the chemical engineering department are poor in NIT Hamirpur. Only 37% of the students of our batch got placed. The placement rate was too low even for our seniors. However, the highest salary package offered was around 8 LPA, and the lowest was around 3.25 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 4.7 LPA. Companies like Afcons Infrastructure Ltd., Simplex Infrastructure Ltd., KEC, Hindustan Private Ltd., Godrej & Boyce etc., visited our campus for placements. Students w...

It is a mixed bag depending on how students use the available resources.

Placements: If you have skills, you will get ample opportunities here. Barring one or two companies like L&T, Technip, etc., core placements are not enough in the civil engineering branch. There isn't a very healthy culture to prepare for GATE, IES, and IAS exam. I mean, not many students participate in these exams. But if you want to prepare for these exams, the environment is quite free, and the climate also helps a lot. Library facility is decent. The placement policy can be improved.

The institute offers a lot of extracurricular activities for the growth of students.

Placements: Almost 96% of the students are placed in companies across the country, majorly, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Chennai. Students aren't given much encouraging tips to crack coding tests. Students have to work on being technically strong and having strong communication skills. Internship isn't something majority of the students start thinking about before they enter 3rd year.

The placements of computer science students are about 93%. We have a training and placement cell in our college, in which they provide information about the placements and internships.

College has one of the most picturesque campuses in India and an amazing infrastructure which is currently expanding. It has fine library and hostels and other facilities though there was a problem of internet facility for first two years. Campus being isolated faces lack of industry exposure and availability of other resources which might have been available in cities. One have to face administrative lag and resistance in getting something done, meaning one has to take dozens of permissions fo...

The infrastructure is good, but are placements poor and lack exposure.

Placements: Placements in our college are very poor. Companies generally do not take much interest to visit our campus as the college is located in the remote area. Exposure to real-life experience is not sufficient. Placement rate is 2-3% in architecture branch. Salary offered is not satisfactory. For architecture, only 2 companies visit, i.e., Godrej and L&T visited our campus for placements, but they hire only 1 or 2 students.
