NIT Trichy MCA Courses & Fees 2024: Admission Dates, Eligibility, Selection & Application Process

NIMCET test will be conducted with single paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering the following subjects.

• Mathematics
• Computer Awareness
• English Language
• Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning 

The total duration of the exam will be two hours and total marks of the exam is 1000. Multiple Choice Questions will be written in English Language only and will not be translated into any other language. 

At the postgraduate level, NIT Trichy provides two-year MTech, MBA, MCA, and various other courses to students. The MCA program at NIT, Trichy is good. NIT Tiruchirappalli is ranked 701-710 by QS World University Rankings 2025. It is one of the top-ranked universities present in India. Candidates securing zero or negative marks either in Mathematics or in Total Marks in NIMCET test will be disqualified. Based on the marks obtained by a qualified candidate in NIMCET test, a rank will be allotted by adopting the following criteria.

• The marks obtained in Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, English, will be summed up. Thus, maximum weighted marks will be 1000.
• Ranking will be based on total weighted marks obtained by a candidate.

Currently, the NIT Trichy MCA admission 2023 has been closed. The admission process has ended with the final seat allotment in the month of July. However, NIT Trichy admission 2024 for MCA course will begin with the registration of NIMCET. The registration for NIMCET 2024 is likley to begin in the month of July, 2024. NIMCET 2025 will be released online at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Candidates will be required to register by submitting their personal email-id and mobile number. An email will be sent to the personal email-id, wherein a web link will be provided for the registration process. By clicking on the link, the applicant is directed to the webpage, where he/ she will first set the password, choose the security question, and submit its answer. After this, the applicant will be directed to the application page, where candidates need to fill the detailed application form, upload documents that include a photo, signature, category certificate (if applicable) and pay the application fees. Candidates need not send the printout of application form.

The authorities have not yet announced the NIMCET 2025 counselling dates. Candidates who qualify the NIMCET exam and are interested in MCA admission at NITs will have to register for the counselling online at the official website nimcet.admissions.nic.in before the last date.
