JEPAS PG 2022: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

JEPAS PG or Joint Entrance Test for Paramedical & Allied Science Postgraduate courses is a state level exam conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). It is common entrance test for medical & allied sciences for admission to PG courses in different institutes across West Bengal. The exam has been renamed as JEMAS. The exam is held annually in offline mode.

JEPAS PG application process starts with the registration. Candidates have to register to fill and submit application form. JEPAS PG 2022 application form was released on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in on February 21. Candidates have to provide basic details such as name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number as part of registration. After successful registration, login credentials are generated and candidates get information about the same through SMS or email. After registration, candidates have to logging to their accounts and fill details in the application form, upload scanned copies of photograph and signature. They will also have to pay the registration fee of INR 3,000 per paper to submit JEPAS PG 2022 applications.

JEPAS PG 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants need to fulfill certain requirements to appear for JEPAS PG 2022 exam. They are advised to check all the eligibility criteria prescribed by WBJEEB before applying for the exam. Eligibility requirements may vary from course to course. Some of the eligibility criteria for JEPAS PG 2022 have been given below:

• Candidates should be an Indian citizen

• He/she must hold bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognised board/university

• Candidates must have scored equal or more than the minimum marks as prescribed by WBJEEB. Candidates of reserved category have relaxation of marks

• There is an upper age limit in some courses as well like DHPE, DHS, MPhil CP

JEPAS PG 2022 exam pattern comprises crucial details about question paper such as mode, medium, total number of questions, time duration and marking scheme. Candidates should have an idea about the pattern as it helps them in the exam preparation.

According to pattern for JEPAS PG 2022, the exam will be held in offline mode. A total of 100 multiple choice questions will be asked and candidates will be given 90 minutes to answer them. The question paper will be in English language only. Candidates will get 1 mark for each right answer and 1/4 mark will be deducted for wrong answer. No mark will be awarded or deducted for unanswered question.

Those who successfully submit application form in the given deadline are issued admit card. WBJEEB will release JEPAS PG 2022 admit card on May 10. The admit card will be released on the official website and candidates will have to download it. To download JEPAS PG 2022 admit card candidates will have to logging to their accounts through registration login ID and password. The admit card can be downloaded till the last date of the exam. A hard copy of the hall ticket must be carried to the exam cente otherwise he/she won’t be allowed to appear for the exam. The admit card contains important details such as name, date of birth, name and address of the exam centre among others. Candidates are advised to preserve the admit card till the whole admission process gets over as it is needed on various occasions.

JEPAS PG answer key is released after the exam. As the exam will be held in offline mode, an official JEPAS PG 2022 Answer Key will be released by WBJEEB on its official website. The answer key comprises correct answers of all the questions in the test paper. With answer key, candidates can estimate his/her score in the exam and predict qualifying status. WBJEEB will also provide a facility to challenge the answer key in the given time frame if candidates find any answer incorrect. For raising objection against answer key candidates will have to pay INR 500 per question+ bank charges. After reviewing the valid objections, a final answer key will be released.

JEPAS 2022 result will be released on the official website for candidates who appeared for the offline exam. The result will be released in the form of merit list at wbjeeb.nic.in. There will be a separate merit list for reserved category. Candidatse will be able to download the rank card by logging to their accounts. The rank card which contains all relevant ranks and score will be issued to all candidates who had appeared in the exam. If any candidates will have any grievance regarding score obtained, they can raise a query through email to info@wbjeeb.in within 24 hours of declaration of result.

Tie-breaking criteria

In case two or more than two candidates get equal score, then the ranking will be decided by tie-breaking criteria. Check the tie breaking criteria given below:

• Candidate who will have lesser number of negative marks in total will be preferred

• If tie still persists, then candidate who is older in age than his/her counterpart will be considered

JEPAS PG 2022 counselling will be held by by WBJEEB for seat allotment in different PG courses. Candidates who will be included in the merit list will be called for JEPAS PG 2022 seat allotment. Candidates will have to do registration and exercise choices of college and course for seat allotment. After the seat allotment result, candidates will have to report to allotted college for documents verification. They will also have to pay admission fee in the given deadline otherwise seat could be allotted to others.
