CPGET 2025 Syllabus - Osmania University provides the CPGET syllabus on its official website. CPGET syllabus 2025 is also provided on this page. All the questions in the exam are framed based on the CPGET syllabus prescribed by the university so students must check it out well before the exam. Since the entrance exam is conducted for numerous PG courses, the CPGET syllabus is prescribed separately for each of them. It includes various subjects and topics under them. It is advised that the students get familiar with the CPGET 2025 syllabus so that they do not miss out on any topics during preparations. Q:   What is CPGET all about?

A:

The Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET) is an entrance exam conducted by Osmania University. Candidates can secure admission to various PG, PGD (postgraduate diploma) courses and five-year integrated courses which are offered by Osmania, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi and Palamuru Universities by giving this entrance exam. It was named Osmania University Common Entrance Test )OUCET) first but is now recognised as CPGET by the Osmania University. However, it is still commonly referred to as OUCET.

Q:   What is the exam pattern for CPGET?

A:

The CPGET pattern is decided by Osmania University, the exam body. According to the pattern, the duration of CPGET will be 90 minutes and the entrance test consists of 100 questions. The total marks for the CPGET exam are 100. Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark and there is no negative marking.

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria to apply for the CPGET exam?

A:

In order to be eligible for admission into a course, the candidate 

  1. Must have passed the Qualifying Examination and secured the prescribed Minimum Marks in the subject (s) /course (s) concerned as mentioned in the Information Brochure, and
  2. Must have qualified in Common P G Entrance Test conducted in the concerned subject in which admission is sought.
    For administrative reasons, the Convenor may, conduct the entrance test before the publication of the results of the
    qualifying examination concerned. But qualifying at the Entrance Test alone does not confer any right of admission into
    a course. In addition to being qualified at the Common Entrance Test, a candidate will be eligible for admission only if
    he/she passes the qualifying examination before the commencement of admissions process and secure the prescribed
    minimum marks in the subject (s) / course (s) concerned. He / She must submit the necessary documents listed under
    item VII of these instructions at the time of counseling.
