For the purpose of admission, a candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination of graduation in Science and Technology with a minimum 50% marks aggregate of all semesters/years or CPI 5.5 on 10 point scale or equivalent score from a recognised University/Institute. The eligibility criteria for admission to M.Sc is 10+2 with 45% aggregate.

The university offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in Acounting and Commerce, Engineering, IT and Software. Pandit Deendayal Energy University course admissions 2024 will be based on various national-level entrance exam scores as per course requirements. Admission to Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) for BTech courses is based on the rank/marks obtained in JEE Main 2024. Candidates should have passed the Class 12 examination with at least 45% aggregate marks. Therefore, it is mandatory to pass JEE Main for admission to PDEU's BTech programme. PDEU also accepts other entrance exams such as GUJCET and Gujarat ACPC. 

A total of 1,560 seats are available for BTech at Pandit Deendayal Energy University. For the purpose of admission, the seats shall be reserved for the candidates of All India seats under the following categories:

During 2024 placements, the overall BTech placement rate stood at 90%. More than 175 companies participated in the placement session and offered the highest package and average package of INR 42 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA, respectively. In addition to this, the average package offered to MBA and MTech students was INR 8.50 LPA and INR 8.72 LPA, respectively. The total count of placement for MBA nad M.Tech stood at 117 and 22, respectively. The MBA placement percentage stood at 100%.
