Panjab University released the PU-CET (PG) result 2024 on the official website on July 17, 2024. To check PU CET (PG) 2024 results, candidates need to visit the official website of Panjab University and log in with their respective roll numbers and course names. Candidates must note that PU CET PG 2024 rank cards will not be sent to them via post. The admission of candidates will be based on their performance in the entrance exam as well as GD/PI rounds. Q:   When will the PU-CET (PG) result release?

A:

The PU CET PG result 2024 released on July 17, 2024. The PU CET (PG)exam 2024 was conducted on June 15, 2024, and June 16, 2024, in a paper-based test mode.

Once the exam is conducted, the exam conducting authority, Panjab University releases the answer key for the PU CET (PG) exam in a few days. The objection filing window also opens after the answer key is released. Once the objections raised by the aspirants are weighed and checked, the varisty releases the PU-CET (PG) result thereafter. 

The PU-CET (PG) result card is available on the official website only and the candidates can check their result using their login credentials.

Q:   Would I get admission on the basis of PU-CET (PG) results directly?

A:

No, candidates who have appeared for the PU-CET (PG) exam, and cleared the cutoff, will be required to appear for the further admission process, which includes Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates need to meet the cutoff criteria of the participating institutes to take admissions. Other factors such as academic record, work experience, etc. are also considered for admission to various institutes which accept PU-CET (PG) scores.

Q:   What should I do after the PU-CET (PG) result announcement?

A:

After the PU-CET (PG) results have been announced, candidates should check the cutoff marks of their preferred institutes. If the candidates meet the cutoff of their preferred institute, they will be called for further admission process which includes Group Discussion and Personal Interview. 

The PU CET PG admission process after the result declaration includes:

  1. Applications to be sent out to the institutes where you want to take admission.
  2. Participating in the counselling process which includes Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
  3. Submitting the required documents to the institutes where you have been shortlisted.
  4. Paying the course fee and getting an admission confirmation.

To view the scorecard, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Visit the official website of Panjab University
  • Click on the link 'CET PG Result- 2024' or copy the following link in your web browser: https://results.puexam.in/ShowCurrentEntranceResult.aspx
  • Enter the roll number, select the course and submit the details
  • Scorecard will appear on the screen
  • Download the result
  • Take a printout

  • Registration number of the candidate

Tie-Breaker

In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, they will be ranked based on a tie-breaker, which is explained below:

  • A candidate getting a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (bachelor's degree) shall rank higher in order of merit
  • If the marks are still equal, then the candidate obtaining a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or an equivalent examination shall rank higher in order of merit
  • If the above criteria do not break the tie, the candidate senior in age shall rank higher in order of merit
