The college has good facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: There are no placements for anthropology, but anyone can study this subject if they have passion. Anthropology is a very interesting subject and provides opportunities in every field. The major scope for this subject lies in the research field.
Infrastructure: Facilities available at Pondicherry University are very good. Every school has its own computer labs, and a common lab is present in the library. Classrooms are good and properly cleaned by the staff every day. A 24-hour health centre is run inside the university with a quick ambulance facility which is very helpful for everyone. Wi-Fi facility is available 24 hours inside the campus. There are different playgrounds for sports and games, and everyone can use them. Good quality labs are available in different departments which run for 24 hours. Hostel rooms are very good. Washrooms and common places are cleaned by the staff every day except Sunday. Good quality food is available in the canteen at low prices. I didn't face any infrastructure related problems at Pondicherry University.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful to some extent. They are qualified and very knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. Normal teaching methods including field studies are adopted by the teachers to improve the teaching quality, but it is not so in every department. The student-faculty ratio is well managed by the administration. Anthropology students are not provided with any industry exposure, but the students of management and science departments can get it. The course curriculum is very helpful for competitive exams as well.
Other: Students and departments can organise any events with the permission of the dean of corresponding schools. Student organisations organise different events, especially for Onam, Ugadi, Holi, and Christmas. Cricket and football competitions are also conducted. Scholarships are available for the rank holders in every department each semester.

The campus felt like home. A magical place.
Placements: 50% students have gone for internship for TVS Company in Pune. Nowadays anthropologists were recruited for many companies, social work and NGOs. I have done internship for a month and got stipend Rs 7500. it was great and helpful working with the company.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the library and the hostels are too good. The library have maximum books for every subject. And there is a reading room in which we can study for hours which is opened upto 12 am. And there is campus connection for each student so that they can access net easily.
Faculty: We have 5 faculty members. They guided us so well in every phase. And without their constant support we could not have gone so far. The faculty members were so honest and helpful. We helped them organised national seminar, symposiums, health camps and many activities.
Other: I have interest in research line so I have selected this course and the extra curricular activities in the campus are so well organised. In short the best campus.

Good campus climate but could do better with infrastructural development and a mobile network.
Placements: 45 is the intake of students every year for anthropology, but there are no placements done. But there are internship opportunities after or during graduation. Students can get into civil services, museums, archeological and anthropological surveys of India by opting for anthropology.
Infrastructure: The whole university is provided with Wi-Fi in departments and hostels. Courses ranging from MBA to science, arts, physical and performing arts are offered. Hostel accommodation is provided during admission itself separately for UG, PG and Ph.D. scholars too. Girls and boys are provided with twin and triple sharing rooms separate for boys and girls. With mess provided three meals. A health center is available inside the university in collaboration with the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences. The library is available in both departments and a central library is common for all students with a reading room to study in. The university has 4–5 playgrounds for football and cricket matches. Indoor badminton courts, outdoor basketball courts, and tennis courts are available.
Faculty: Faculty who teach us are well experienced in teaching, holding JRF and Ph.D. as qualifications to teach and train us in classrooms. In the Anthropology course, there is mandatory field work as a part of a research paper in the final semester. Here, there is scope for students to understand the outside world better by applying techniques and methods taught in class. Exam difficulty depends on individuals, as everything is asked based on what is taught in class. 50% is the pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course voluntarily as it was a subject of interest, and I am glad that anthropology has everything a layman can know in depth about. It is a holistic study so it covers a range of subjects. Things I wish there could be improved are the infrastructure, as these are pretty old buildings, the mobile network signal and a bit of Wi-Fi improvement. It would be grateful if hostel rooms were provided with AC too. There are always events happening at the university.

Hello Mubashira, It's not a routine subject but very interesting nonetheless. It's actually a study of homo-sapiens. There is enough potential for the students. Teaching, research, HR, etc. Of course, a number of jobs are not very many but then not very many students pass out. So, it matches. But I
