It is an amazing campus life but a hectic course.
Placements: About 7 out of 25 students who appeared for placements were placed with a salary package of 5 LPA. Placement offers came from PriceWaterhouse and Earnst and Young. All students are placed in PWC as analysts. Since it is a Bachelor's course without any diploma, the only role offered is analyst role.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi, labs, and air-conditioned classrooms in our college. The central library is well-equipped with an e-learning center dedicated completely. Books for UG courses are available in the library. The hostel is accommodative. However, the hostel canteen is out of service while there are two college canteens serving food at subsidised rates.
Faculty: Faculty members are the main problem in our college. Although most of them are qualified and teaching quality is superb, they are not student-friendly in any way. The course curriculum is quite relevant but does not make us industry-ready. Passing is an ordeal. Faculty members will always find ways to award you the lowest marks possible. While a majority do manage to pass, the marks they get are on the lower side.
Other: The campus life is excellent with a lot of sports, fests, and events ongoing at any given time. The reason for choosing the course is personal and the best thing about this course is it allowed me to opt for any elective subject for the first and second years.

The economics department of our university is very good, it has 2 noble laureates as our alumni.
Placements: The placements after graduation are very rare from our department because most students from our department go for M.Sc from DSE, JNU, etc., they either enter into education sectors i.e schools, college or into the corporate sector after their masters. Our alumni network is very strong thus after completion of masters' students could have a good life ahead.
Infrastructure: Our university is recently renovated and thus added various new infrastructure. Classrooms are very well furnished, and the economics department has one computer laboratory dedicated to the students with research. The hostel is available for both boys and girls. The cost of accommodation is very minimal, the rent is near about 150-200 rupees with 1300-1600 food, electricity charges. The campus is safe.
Faculty: The professors of our department are highly educated and most of them are alumni of our university. They are very cooperative, encouraging and they would be just like our friends. Our syllabus is based on UGC guidelines but there are few inclusions made by the authorities because it is one of the autonomous state universities. The semester examination pattern is the pattern. B.Sc. economics honors have 6 semesters in total. The marking system has both internal and end-semester examinations. The level of toughness is good, though if students concentrate in the classroom it won't cause many problems getting good marks.

Our college used to be one of the bests, but now it just has a brand name.
Placements: Students from our university are well-placed. Reputed companies from all over the world visit our college for placements. Probabilities of placements are higher for M.Sc students as compared to B.Sc students. B. Ed students are also hired with average pay.
Infrastructure: Our university has recently renovated after it completed its 200 years. Wi-Fi is provided for the students as well as for teachers. Separate libraries are available for science and arts' students. Medical facilities, badminton room and 2 cafeterias are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are not as amazing as it used to be. Our department is understaffed, so teachers from our other colleges come as guest lecturers. They are knowledgeable, but they lack proper teaching skills. But few teachers have good teaching skills.

Review of Presidency University, Kolkata.
Placements: The placement committee invites a few companies to our campus, and notable they are Deloitte, D E Shaw. However, most of the students opt to pursue Masters, so only a few students attend placements. The college doesn't have an internship cell. Everyone who attends the placements got placed in their respective choices.
Infrastructure: It is one of the few colleges having the modern infrastructure the classrooms have state of the art teaching equipment. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled along with 3 central libraries for different streams encompassing thousands of books. The college has a common recreation room which houses a table tennis table and badminton court.
Faculty: The course is a blend of statistics and economics with a prime focus towards the latter. Along with this, a student has to mandatory choose 3 electives each year apart from the majors to facilitate continued knowledge propagation in various streams.

Satisfied with the overall learning we got from the course.
Placements: Placements is good as whoever wants a job gets placed. But mostly students go for post graduation and not opt for placements. Still the 10% batch who SAT for placements got placed. Roles offered varied from analyst to IT related roles as well. Deloitte and MU Sigma are some of the good companies which came for placements. Regarding internships, there is no as such compulsion to do an internship, however, one can always do something under college professors or get one from outside.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really amazing. Classrooms are very spacious and have writing boards, projectors and screens as well as notes screening machines. Labs have sufficient number of computers with the latest versions for the entire batch. Library has the best resources one could find across universities in Calcutta. We never had to purchase a book, we always got all the books through library only. Other than that, there were e-resources which we used for our projects.
Faculty: Course curriculum is properly structured and it covers the subject matter very well. All the 6 semesters were planned and timeline followed. There were elective courses for 4 semesters which we could take from across different courses in the university. Faculty is also good with lot of guest lecturers taking subjects each semester from renowned institutes.
Other: The atmosphere of the college and peer group is very diverse. You get the feel of the college life once you are here. There are so many extra curricular activities that I don't even know about them all. Derozio Memorial Debate is one of the flagship events of the economics department.
