Our college has good curriculum, helpful teachers, and good campus life.
Placements: TCS visits our campus to hire students. Our batchmates want to pursue higher studies, and none of them got placed. In the previous year, many students were placed.
Infrastructure: Our college has a huge area with many buildings, and our campus is greenery. There were two libraries, one for science and another one for the arts. Departmental libraries were also available. The libraries were well-stocked, and several books were available. There were many classrooms, and each one of them was very spacious and airy. There were galleries and smart classrooms as well. Our college provides hostel in Saltlake with modern amenities and rooms were well-maintained. The food served in the canteen was good at a reasonable rate, which was ideal for day scholars.
Faculty: All our professors were very helpful and kind to everyone. They were always one step forward in helping us in every way possible. They were friendly and very knowledgeable. Our course curriculum had data analysis and econometrics, which every company looks for. The topics taught were relevant. Semester exams were not very easy, but our professors prepared us in every way. The pass percentage was approximately 85%. Students were among the top-ranked in the city.
Other: Our college organises an annual fest Aalap. We had inter-college competitions and concerts. We also had an annual day where students and alumni were felicitated. This college organised a Bengal economic meeting where eminent professors from all over India attended and gave paper presentations, which were very insightful and good for education. State scholarships like Kanyashree were available for students. Sports day was also conducted every year, and many students and teachers participate for entertainment.

Bethune College provides good campus life and good academic life.
Placements: Bachelors don't have placement services in most colleges in West Bengal, but Bethune gets a placement offer every year from Tata Consultancy Services. In our batch, no one was interested in getting placed right after our bachelor's. Most were pursuing Masters and the rest were preparing for various government jobs. From the previous batch, two of our seniors got placed in TCS.
Infrastructure: Bethune was the oldest women's college in Asia. The majority of the infrastructure was from the colonial era and was well maintained. During our college years, two new buildings were inaugurated. One building contained the common room for students and the other building contained a teachers' meditation room. The other building was the auditorium building. The labs were well maintained. We have a sports room and a union room. There were two libraries, both of which were well maintained. The canteen food was good and affordable.
Faculty: The course curriculum was interesting and will prepare students both for industry and academia. Professors were student-friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There were elective papers in the 5th and 6th semesters along with the core papers. The students have to write a 5000–7000 word dissertation on an issue in Indian Economics in the final semester, which will be supervised by the professors. The semester exams were centralized exams taken by the University of Calcutta.
Other: Our college takes pride in providing a fun student life. There were various extra-curricular activities, seminars and workshops being hosted. There were various clubs like photography, film and drama, debate, etc. The students' committee was a large part of the college. The annual college fest, Aalap, was very fun and was organized by the students and the teachers' committee.

I had a memorable and satisfactory college life here.
Placements: None of my batchmates was interested in placements as all students were interested in higher studies either in economics or in other fields. So, I don't know about placements. However, the top roles offered in our course are an analyst and an entrepreneur.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided here was good, but the classrooms were a bit smaller. Our college had a free Wi-Fi facility, and labs were not required in our subject. Libraries were well equipped with the required books for the subject. I have not availed the hostel facilities, so I don't know about it.
Faculty: Professors here were extremely helpful and always eager to help us. They were student-friendly and quite knowledgeable. They are qualified in their own fields and also in other fields. The course curriculum is relevant, but improvements can be made in the near future. The course curriculum is theoretical, and it does not make students industry-ready.

Good placement, well managed, excellent faculty. Just the place you want to study.
Placements: Alot of companies comes to the campus for placement. Each department has separate placement cells including the Post Graduate departments. Even TCS comes for hiring graduates from our college. As per the records till last year, our college has a placement guarantee of 90% students with an average package of 7lacs.
Infrastructure: The building is a hetiage building dating to almost 150 years old. The school and college has d same campus. It is the first women's college in Asia. The campus has 6 buildings, a central library and a centenary hall. Each department has it's own library as well. The labs are property equipped and so is the sports room. The canteen is small compared to the number of students but it serves cheap - good food.
Faculty: The faculty is the best you can find in this college. The professors are extremely helpful and very well qualified. They create a friendly environment for students to adjust and the ratio of teachers to students varies with the departments but it's ample. Every student is given equal attention. The college alos has various clubs for students to get involved and conducts regular co-curricular activities.
Other: You might think that this is a government college so the classes are not conducted daily or unlike any other government institutions it's not well managed but this is not the case here. Here you will have regular classes and regular attendance will be taken. Moreover parents teachers meeting are also being conducted to update them about their children, and the college does't have politics. It has a student's union.

This college is good. You can take admission here. But if you care about placements, then no.
Placements: The placements facility of this college is not up to the mark. Students of arts subjects don't get much chance to appear in any interview conducted my any company which approaches this college. Generally, the students of computer science departments get a chance to appear for the interviews of IT companies. I personally feel there should be much more improvement regarding the placements of this college. Each and every student who scores good marks should get a fair opportunity to appear in interviews.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. Very well and advanced instruments are used in the science lab. In fact, there are efficient computers available in the computer lab. The classrooms are also very good. There are common rooms for girls where they can play various indoor games. A gym is also available. Bt as far as I know, medical facilities are not available in this college. So this facility should be implemented in this college.
Faculty: The faculty members of economics department are very helpful.
They are well qualified and very knowledgeable. They first describe the whole concept thoroughly and then discuss the graphs and mathematical expressions on the green board. They are really great and helpfull. Just you need to approach them with your eagerness.
