Presidency University Master Degree Entrance Test 2024 ( PUMDET )
PUMDET 2025 Syllabus: WBJEEB prescribes the syllabus of PUMDET that is conducted annually for admissions in postgraduate programmes at Presidency University. Q: What subjects are offered through PUMDET?
The Board conducts the Common Entrance Test (PUMDET) for admission in M.A./M.Sc. courses in the Presidency University in OPEN quota (Non-PU quota) seats. Candidates can apply for any one of the following paper for admission to the respective course.

PUMDET is generally conducted in the months of June-July. The entrance exam dates are informed in advance for students to prepare well for the test. PUMDET 2024 was held on July 7, 2024. Applications for the same opened in April and ended in the first week of May. After the exam, PUMDET result is declared on the official website of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) in the form of rank cards.

PUMDET 2025 - Marking Scheme
In the PUMDET exam, for every correct answer, 2 marks will be awarded and for every incorrect answer, ½ marks will be deducted from an aspirant’s total score. If an aspirant does not mark any answer for a question, zero marks will be given for such a response. Further, the official website informs, “For any combination of response with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -1/2 (25% negative) marks”.
