Is Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) good for BE/BTech?
Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of RRU's strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths:
* Well-structured curriculum: The course curriculum is relevant and well-structured, although its implementation could be improved.
* Knowledgeable faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and cooperative, solving doubts outside of class hours.
* Excellent infrastructure: The university has invested heavily in modern infrastructure, including state-of-the-art laboratories, libraries, and hostels.
* Placement opportunities: Students have reported decent placement rates, with companies like Wipro, Cognizant, and government agencies offering internship and job opportunities.
Weaknesses:
* Lack of experienced faculty: As the university is relatively new, some faculty members may not have extensive experience teaching.
* Unpredictable exam schedules: Exam syllabi and schedules are often communicated late, causing uncertainty among students.
* Limited food options: While the hostel provides meals, the options are limited, and non-vegetarian food is currently unavailable.
* Bias towards local students: Some students felt that the faculty showed favoritism towards students from Gujarat, where the university is located.
Overall, RRU seems to be a good option for students pursuing BE/BTech, particularly those interested in cybersecurity and related fields. While there are areas for improvement, the university's strong emphasis on infrastructure and faculty support suggests that it has potential for growth and development.
Here's a breakdown of the key points mentioned earlier in bullet form:
* Curriculum: Well-structured, though implementation needs improvement
* Faculty: Knowledgeable, cooperative, and helpful
* Infrastructure: Excellent, with modern facilities and amenities
* Placement: Decent, with opportunities from reputed companies
* Weaknesses: Lack of experienced faculty, unpredictable exam schedules, limited food options, bias towards local students

B.Tech. in Computer Science (Cyber Security) - Batch of 2027
Offered by Rashtriya Raksha University
4.4
4Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Few opportunities exist for students eager to drive into cyberspace and hacking.
Placements: The brochure claims a 96% placement rate, but in reality only 15-20 students are placed through on-campus placement drives. The placement is really bad in this college. Very few small-scale companies come for placements.
Infrastructure: The hostels feel like home, which is what we were looking for last year. However, the new hostels are more like literal hostels, which is a typical hostel. The mess food has mixed reviews. On the plus side, we get medical facilities like a private hospital for free.
Faculty: There are 5-6 subjects per semester, each with 1-2 faculty members teaching them. Out of 10 faculty, about 7 are good at imparting knowledge. The course curriculum is such that what is taught in class has to be applied in the real world, and most colleges expect students to do their own preparation. The semester exams are quite difficult. The pass percentage is around 65-70%.

My college years , the 4 years which are unforgettable
Placements: Many placements occur in the cyber domain and AI. 80-90 percent of placements are there. There are many companies which want cyber experts, so it has a great domain to explore. Even government agencies also want cyber experts. Many seniors join the police cyber team.
Infrastructure: All the hostels are new , and the lab and classrooms are in all good condition because it is a central university. Grounds of every sport are available. Mess is made this month only, which has good quality of food. Students are from every state of India , some are international also.
Faculty: Faculty is experienced and has knowledge in this domain. Exams are quite difficult because they deal with cybersecurity. We have practical exams every week. Our school name is SITAIS, which deals with cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. I love my college.
Other: There are many clubs which I like.

RRU, The College they don't show You.
Placements: Approximately 60% of the students were placed in my course during this academic year. The highest package was around 9 Lacs per annum. And the average package was around 4 Lacs per annum. Many students got internships in companies such as Wipro, Cognizant, and other government agencies such as C-Dac, ISRO, but on their own and very less involvement was from the college side.
Infrastructure: The in-campus facilities are top-notch, but the students are forced to vacate the campus after their first academic year is completed due to a lack of space to private hostels on Gandhinagar. Currently, non-veg food is not available in the mess, but it is said that from the next year, non-veg food will be provided to us students. Other than the mess, the food options are very limited as only one canteen is present.
Faculty: The course curriculum at Rashtriya Raksha University is relevant and well-structured and different from conventional college courses, but the implementation is not up to the mark. The faculty members are good, but the majority of them are from Gujarat, therefore there may be some bias towards the local students. The teachers are very knowledgeable, but only a few are Ph.D. holders. The administration here is very bad, as the exam syllabus and schedule are informed to students just one week before the exam, and any time a new rule can come into action.

It is a fabulous college life and parents like faculty and marvelous infrastructure.
Placements: The first batch of my colleagues got moderate placements but the second batch got around 80-85% placements and many of them are doing internships in well-known companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Sprinkle. Many of them got job offers from Tata Consultancy Services. Colgate hired two students from the 2019 batch as cyber security analysts and they got around a stipend of Rs.20000. Salesforce hired one student from M.Sc. as a cyber security analyst and his salary package is around 22 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is fantastic or more than awesome. The hostel is divided into blocks and each block has two compartments and around 20 rooms. Each room has only 2 students and there is a lobby, bathroom, washroom, sink pods, and urinal pods between the two-room. There is also a table for study, two almirahs for keeping personal stuff, and two cupboards. They also provide bed and bed-sheet. The course structure is improving year by year. New things are added to the curriculum semester-wise.
Faculty: Faculty members at our university are incredible, cooperative, and helpful in nature. They used to solve doubts after college hours also. They give assignments on a regular basis so that we can't forget the topics. They give us project guidance and gives us information regarding placements.
