They do get placements in private companies like Infotech, but I don't know much about the salary as I am still in the fourth semester.

Good college as it is the 3rd best government engineering college in Gujarat .
Placements: Good placement at around 35-40% but it depends on the company that came for recruitment and also students grades or marks in college exams and recruitment on the basis of interviews and cutoffs based on CPI; overall, it is quite good. Companies like TCS come to the college.
Infrastructure: Good classroom with Wi-Fi in each department at several places, good faculty, and good quality of education provided at nominal fees. The hostel is good, but the mess is not available, so food arrangements need to be done at one's own cost. The canteen is okay, and the sports ground is available.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, as it is a government engineering college, also good-natured. Teachers teach students well and also as per the course curriculum. The semester exams are done by Gujarat Technological University, and papers are not very tough but are at a moderate level.

The college is good with education and placement, but not at campus life.
Placements: The placement of the college is about 50 to 60%. It offers an average of 3.5 LPA to the highest 7.5 LPA. Many local and MNC companies are visited every year for the campus placements like TCS, Tatvasoft, Bacancy, and many more like this. The placement cell is very supportive.
Infrastructure: The campus is much better. It's a fully Wi-Fi campus with good speed. The library within the campus area and the area of the campus is good enough. The problem is with the canteen and stationery in the campus area. Otherwise, the classroom and benches are too good.
Faculty: It's an excellent curriculum, exam patterns, and very supportive faculty members. The exam is conducted twice in a semester, following up with submission and viva. The internal exam contains theory of 30 marks, and the external exam also contains the theory of 70 marks.

Overall, GEC Gandhinagar is good.
Placements: At GEC Gandhinagar, 60-70% of students get placed, mainly from IT and CS. The highest package is 10 LPA, the average is 3.97 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Byju's, and Tatvasoft. Top roles offered are Software Developer and System Engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in college only in the hostel. There is no Wi-Fi, and even students can't place Wi-Fi on their money. Classrooms are big, and the library is clean. There is no mess food in the hostel. So there is no question about quality overall, and the hostel is good.
Faculty: Here, teachers at GEC Gandhinagar are well-qualified and helpful, offering decent teaching quality. The curriculum is relevant but could improve for better industry readiness. Semester exams are moderately challenging with a pass percentage of 75-85%, varying by course.

Environmentally friendly surroundings. Faculties are helpful and humble.
Placements: In our college, the placement cell is nearly 80%, which is good enough. Every year, IT companies like TCS, InfoCity, and IBM, and many students get jobs. The average package for a job is 6 lakh per annum, which is good. Some students are getting jobs in Google. Seniors are friendly and help juniors in lab work.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is very good, and also very clean and has a big campus. Our college campus is very environment friendly and has positive vibes to spend time. Our college canteen is very good and we like to spend free time in it. College's library is also very good and peaceful.
Faculty: Our college's faculty is very humble and helpful to students. They give advice and suggestions in career and job placements. They also suggest new applications related to our course. The exam system is also good and strict, which is good for students. The curriculum system is also good.
Other: I have been interested in IT courses since childhood. This college offers very good IT courses and job placements for IT, cyber security, etc. Our college organizes many events like hackathons, Google Cyber Program, etc. Also, the faculties help students to fill out different scholarship forms.

Mixed faculty quality; some are excellent, while others are poor. Average placements.
Placements: There is a 40-45% placement ratio for our course here every year. The highest package is 7 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA, with the average being 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Odoo, Meditab, and previously TCS have been the top recruiters for the past 2 years. The placement percentage for internships is the same. Top roles are Software Developer, Backend Developer, AI/ML Engineer, and Business Development Executive.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in limited areas. Computer labs are there but not in good condition. Classrooms are good and also have projectors. I do not have experience with the hostel, but it can be said to be average. Water is not available in the toilets, and the drinking water is not good.
Faculty: Some teachers are highly knowledgeable and dedicated, while others lack interest in teaching. The course curriculum is average, with limited practical exposure. GTU exams are challenging, and the passing criteria require 33%, making it tough for students to excel without proper guidance.
Other: I was interested in IT, and the collection of fields is less. Teaching can be improved. Only a few events were organized.
