Good infrastructure and college life.

Placements: Almost 60% to 70% students get placed with a package of 3-4 lakhs per annum. There is a dedicated training and placement department which makes sure everybody gets an equal opportunity. For civil engineering students, no internship offers are provided and we have to get our own internship through networking. The highest package is 18-20 LPA. Around 10% of the students get placed at package more than 6 LPA.

Review of my college : SASTRA University.

Placements: Placements were excellent. Almost every engineer without backlog got selected. The highest salary was 12 LPA and the lowest salary was 2 LPA. TCS, IBM, Wipro, HCL, Zoho, Microsoft, Paypal, Honeywell, Bosch and many more visted the college for placements. Software engineer and tech support engineer, kind of roles were offered. Internship was not available in the college as per my knowledge.

A nice experience and worth the decision.

Placements: Students pursuing computer related courses have a high chance of getting placed. For other students, it's highly competitive and the chances of getting placed in core is not so good. You get many opportunities and training for getting placed, but the number of recruiters are not so much. Companies like Microsoft, Zoho, Paypal, TCS, Ashok Leyland, etc. visits the campus for recruitment.

Great for computer science and mechanical engineering students.

Placements: The college has constantly maintained a 100% placement record. It is quite commendable considering the huge batch size of 2000+ students. Big IT giants visit the campus and recruit in huge numbers with TCS being the prime recruiter. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA.

Staff and resources are very good. So many companies are coming for campus placements. Strict staff and hostel wardens. Library is good. In campus, cultural and tech festivals are not bad. Food is average. Hostel fee is cheap. Getting leaves to go home is made complicated. Water problem and hot sun are expected.

I enjoyed my college life a lot, being a hostler helped me to enjoy my college life and at the same time studies as well. You can get a lot of time, it all depends on how well you use it. All the resources are available, one of the best infrastructure, best support from faculty members. All the faculty members are well experienced. As an added advantage the college is only recruiting lecturers who have completed their Ph. D degree. What more we need in terms of academics. The best library with a...

SASTRA University is spread over an area of about 75 acres. A lot of trees, lawns, stone benches to hang around and so on. The perfect environment for studying and also whenever you feel like you need a break this surrounding serves that purpose too. There are 2 main canteens where the food is awesome and cheap as well. There aren't many places you can get such an offer. Other than that, there are many small canteens near each department as well. So you needn't go too far for a cup of coffee. ...

My college which is very famous for NRI students because it has maintained the international standards as well as has a good number of experienced faculty, all the staffs are the doctorate. There I got to learn many languages as Sastra is well known for a multilingual place, training for placements and implant training is too good and they get 100% placement in every year. Worth spending for this college.

SASTRA University is in Thanjavur. Though the campus is located far away from the city, in-house facilities like medical shop, availability of doctor, basic hospital amenities are provided by the management. The infrastructure facilities are in par with the international standards. Every department has separate computer labs and other specialization labs like biochemistry lab, circuit lab, mechanical workshop etc. Also, recently a 4 floor sophisticated Research centre has been built only to carr...

The first instance that you will notice about this college is the discipline and the college is trying to instill. For successful academic rigor, emphasis has to be on quality curriculum. The School of Mechanical Engineering (SOME) had the quality of teaching and it could nevertheless be improved. Although a couple of teachers are truly life changing. The non-academic discipline does curtail the sense of freedom, but not significantly. The peer group that comes to this college is excellent, a...

I studied ECE. This departments is considered as the strictest one of all the B.Tech departments. My college is good for mechanical and Electrical students. They get good placements in core companies. Other branches do get core companies but less. At the end, almost everyone will be placed. Lab equipment’s are good. Few faculty are good and few are average. Campus facilities were increasing year by year. When I joined it had only open playground. End of first year basketball court came, end of s...

College with good infrastructure, faculty and placements. They call sufficient number of companies each year and give opportunity for every student to get placed. Apart from that they even send candidates for semester abroad program which is good. The only con about the college is there are some faculty who knew nothing and show off like he knew everything and the silly questions they ask when they sit for project reviews makes us feel awkward.

Final destination for best education and career growth. It depends on the students, how much they gain from college. If they struggle hard in learning new things, college and faculty will support and help. Semester abroad program helps you gain a lot of knowledge about foreign universities. Placements are assured for every student, the basic requirement being good communication skills. Placements are consistently increasing every year.

Flexibility - which you can go and come at any time. Learning become easy by having internal system. Faculties mostly are doctorates and at least M.Tech professionals. Can enjoy the college life completely. 99 percent placement. Bad one Having 50marks internal, if you got 45 marks in internal, you just need to get 10 marks for pass, so students would study just one unit to get 10 marks to pass, so the in depth knowledge to the students particular subject is lacking, they would suffer in future. ...

A very good college for Mechanical engineering along with biotechnology. A lush green campus with great faculty and infrastructure. The college has good quality of student intake and hence a good quality of interaction within the class. The campus placements are also good with all the major companies visiting the campus with various hardcore engineering roles. The IT companies are the major recruiters.

This is a good college. The professors over there are nice, not the best but are okay. You can get the knowledge. But the thing is that over there you won’t get any practical knowledge. The placements are mostly from IT companies. Jobs related to other fields are less. Coming to food I can say that the food will be nice. Hostel facilities are okay. Cannot expect any more from private universities that too a huge university. It has a huge campus with Wi-Fi facility and greenery.
